Peter Ambrose definitely , test drove it along with S450L, undoubtedly S450L is better in the interior , but it just ain’t as fierce as the 740Le, speed wise I’m loving the 7 , cabin space - the 7 is bigger as the cushion is not as think as offered on S450L ... but I’m in love with the ambient lighted roof 🥰, 3 mths till I can get my hands on it 🤞

Car is okay looking in pictures and videos but when u get to see one in person u will see the grill really completes the 7 series proportion as a , well u know , 7 series. It's perfect. Just need to see one in person.

I don’t think the interior materials and build quality here are only ‘slightly’ better than the 5 series. The leather and wood used are sumptuous, and are several levels better than what’s in the 5, which uses plastic on the dash and the old, rough Dakota leather upholstery. You’ve also been saying for years that the HK system is better than the Burmester in the S-Class. Could you elaborate? My experience with both has been the opposite of what you’re saying. I also disagree with your comment that this car can keep up with M-cars. It’s quick and will definitely hang with a C43 or M340i on the highway, but I doubt it’ll be able to keep up with a bona fide M like the M4 or M5. I’m not sure what you mean when you say that an S is not an enjoyable car to drive. It may not be an agile car, but it’s not a stretch to say that the way that the S cruises on a highway easily induces a smile from the driver. Enjoyment, I think, changes according to the category of car in question. While one would expect agility to contribute most to enjoyment in a sports sedan, it seems that sense of occasion here is more appropriate. Just my two cents.

Andrew Lee Forums have always been filled with people complaining about their car audio and innumerable other aspects of their cars. You’ll find similar posts on W221 forums regarding the B&O (which was underwhelming for the price), Porsche on its top end Burmester in the Cayenne and 911 (which to my ears is an excellent setup) , and BMW on everything from the base speakers to the top end B&W. My point is that people who are satisfied with their systems don’t usually create posts on car forums. Secondly, identically-branded systems are different in each model due to the interior space and thus sound staging. For example, the notoriously underwhelming Bose system in the 911 sounds as expected but is surprisingly good in the Cayenne. Same case with last generation’s Harman Kardon in the S-class vs in the GL. While I agree that the Burmester in local C-classes has a muddy sound, I do not find the same problem to pervade either the E or the S here. Or one could chalk our differences in opinion up to quality control issues by both manufacturers. Perhaps the reviewer, Hafriz, has experienced poor examples of the Burmester and fine examples of the HK system which caused him to develop his current opinion.

Crappy review, focusing on wrong stuff and picking on minute things... I mean do you need to choose from 64 colours when you just want some interior lights or for that matter, pick a bottle of mineral water from 64 different brands? I know of many people who switched from S Class to The 7 and I ask myself objectively whether I would go for the S and the answer is NO! Lastly, since it's all about personal choice, I think the S suits you more than The 7 as the S tends to be preferred by old uncles, usually businessmen, and they tend to be fat and have big round tummies. On the other hand, The 7 tends to attract professionals and top executives. Also, some of the things missing is because of what the importer ticks, probably to give it the required margins, not so much because the cars don't come with those things. BMW engineers can't be that stupid! Do your homework and look at the reviews in other countries. So, think before you comment or else you look really stupid!

Whatever is said in this review refers to the Malaysian-market model, where the cars are sold as is, with no options available, i.e. you can't choose to add on 360-degree camera, etc.
