I remember when the 2nd gen iPad was the coolest thing ever. I had one & I was the coolest kid in my school. It came out when I was at the end of elementary school and I just started middle school. Several years later I'm now in college & I have a 6th gen iPad. These things are the only Apple products I've continued to enjoy using because their screens are so big which makes it better for gaming, media consumption, and note taking. It's quite interesting to come back and see what the OG granddad version was like. My, technology sure has come quite far.

I remover when I was a little kid and I got gifted a iPad 2, I didn’t really knew what it is since all I had was a DS. When I unboxed it, all I did was go to photo booth all day😂. But then realized I needed WiFi to get games and soon discovered youtube! It was a tank but in 2016, I had to get the iPad Air 2 since the iPad 2 was too slow. Currently using my Air 2, still strong! It’s funny how I use my Air 2 as a daily driver more than my iPhone, since my iPhone is a 5s and it’s slow :( battery is worn down and it has dents caused by overheating

A netbook is a very portable laptop running cut down Windows 7. I used one for several years and it did surprisingly well. Its Windows why wouldnt it.

I still have my first netbook. An Acer Aspire one AOD 270 from 2012

@@Redbulpro many people would complain about netbooks and I admit they were not rocket science but at least they had a usable keyboard and with Windows 7 I could run some Windows only emulators on them. Gosh I even edited photos on the thing too. Basic and mad but it did eventually get the job done. This was back in 2012/13 now.

Now the ipad was a great idea but in those years (2009 onwards) I myself still needed programs that were only coded for Windows so it was pointless to move across. Well it's just chat here really about that time period and what technology was going around. Thanks.

I got mine when I was 4- then when my sister turned like 4 I had to share mine🙄 around 2016 I lost it and recently found it. I never knew it was the original iPad until I Checked the model number. I thought mine was dead and there was no chance (the reboot thing he ran into) but I let it charge for 3 WEEKS and it started working again. I can still surf the web and can play most of the games that were Downloaded. It shocks me on how well it’s aged. I’m 14 now and I’m obsessed with old tech and stuff like this. Thanks for inspiring me.

the battery is too depleated to function or charge anymore, I found an iPad 1 at a recycling center in great condition but even charging it straight to the battery with usb (not plugging it in to the port, i mean plugging straight into the battery terminals) didnt even work so it might need a new battery Also dont try this cause you can fry your board easily like i did, sad thing is mine was a 64gb + 3G so it was a high end model

mineTurtle dmg I have Mac Tracker on all my iPhones and PCs and Macs. From a iMac G3 to a iPhone 6s. I have the latest one and when researching iPad 1 before I broght one, it said 32Gb is the max or I might be thinking of iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 1/2 gen.
