Great video of real life sailing. I know on some islands, individual trees are owned by families, and it might not be obvious. Particularly coconut trees. They might expect some small recompense. However in Mount Isa in mango season you could pick up a truck load from the streets. In summer the smell of fermenting mangos lying in the sun is overwhelming. Note that flying foxes or fruit bats like them and might bite the fruit. My advice is don't eat any that have the slightest bite. Samoans are one of the most generous people in the Pacific, they share and help freely. They also appreciate returning the hospitality. I'm indebted to them, but I'll even it up eventually.

What an amazing achievement getting to your very own island paradise, in the middle of the Pacific ocean , on your own boat, wow just pause and think about that. Shwmae, I think you are right, you are in paradise, including the French Stick ( Baguette ) Fairey. 🤣🤣 The Old Sea Dog you mentioned must be good old Barry Perrins, but don't blame him for the wind direction. That bay with all those Rays in it must have blown you both away, it would've done me. How lucky to have Simpsons Outboards to save yer outboard. (Nice People). Since the day sailing thru' the Bonifacio Straits our 3m dinghy with the 2 stroke outboard attached, spinning in mid air like a kite on drugs decided to land, but why choose to land upside down ??Arrgggg !!!!!! I'd dunked it once and brought it back to life, but not this time. It was then I vowed NEVER tow a dinghy with the engine still on. I've still got the replacement 👍👍 So now you've got a "time table" of sorts, how much time do you have to get down NZ ? Stay safe Mark and of course Adam, maybe see you in Wales at Crimbo ?? who knows .Kind Regards, Barnacle Bern SY Cadbri SW Wales. B. 😎 Oh yes, BTW, did that road sign mean pedestrians ?

Hi Bernie 👋 Total Paradise especially with all that French stick. Been having lots of spreadable cheese on there. Never seen manta rays like that before it was incredible. We had some great advice from Simpson outboards. Guided us through the whole process of how to save it. Never tow always Stowe 😉 Years ago we were towing our dingy with an old seagull outboard and it flipped upside destroying it. We will have 6 months in New Zealand as we are British citizens. We will be back one day for a couple of beers with you 😄 And yes that sign said pedestrians not pigeons 😂😂😂😂😂

you lucky sods. I left Porth just over ten years ago to cycle in South East Asia. After meeting a long series of women in Thailand I finally managed to produce a son out here. I split up from his mother 18 months ago and I have been bringing up Owain who is now five largly on my own. I have cycled many parts of the world and have been thinking about another adventure. After watching you and one or two other vlogers I am now making plans to buy a cheap boat back in the UK and sail her back to Thailand. I am a complete novice as far as sailing goes, but I have grown up with the sea, learning to swim at the age of three in the Yemen. My daughter lives in Swansea and I still have my home Rhondda. If possible I would love to meet up in Cardiff / Penarth or Barry etc, lol. It would be great to see the boat and to get any advice in regards of buying a boat on a budget and even planning my trip back to Thailand, thanks Tim.

Wonderful. i can see the excitement and craving for a french stick lol. It's incredible to see you there, I can only imagine what its like stepping ashore after such a long passage. Check out swell bridle for those tricky anchorages.

Luke was particularly excited to get his hands on some French stick. It is amazing to be here after such a long time at sea ⛵.

🤣🤣 Jeeze , the state of that boat 🤣🤣 it was worse than i thought . Good job cleaning it guys , reckon you being letting the polish slip though , huh , huh . I had land sickness once , really strange . I had been on the boat for almost two weeks straight . stopped off at a marina , and used the land side facilities . Sat there , on the throne , and i swear the dam thing was rolling in the swell . Strange thing was , i was okay so long as i was moving , but once sat down . Really strange . I love french stick , especially fresh . Bit a pickle with some cheese , yep that hits the mark . By the way don't forget to get some self raising flour . I seem to remember , a cyclone hit somewhere down there , don't think it was particularly strong one . Went ashore New Zealand ? , dunno can't remember . It was somewhere down that way , i remember wondering if it affected you guys at the time , but then i remembered the vid delay , so i figured it probably didn't .

It was absolutely stinking. We just recently polished her 😁. Your body gets used to the constant motion of the boat so when you go to land you tend to flip out 😂😂🤮. We have been having the French stick with spreadable cheese and ham 😋. The videos are not in real time so we didn't get affected

That's so familiar that you got " Land Sickness"... i'd be out in big Seas T.G. NOT get sick while others were " Calling the Whales" over the side. I'd hit the beach and walk right into a door Jam in a restaurant. Wobbles were horrible...the alternative? Yikes.

Can't wait to get there. So beautiful. There is a bay in the Marquesas which so many boats go to first. Stunning... Might be the one you were at? For the second mooring? Delos was there recently too. Polynesian not Maori.

I don't know if 'Attention Piétons' is there to warn motorists of pedestrians or to warn pedestrians of motorists. I suppose it works either way. Digging out my high school French from the back of my memory, 'Pied' in French is 'foot' in English.
