Hey you did the thing with Rem and the title lol. Anyway Arc 5 likely won't need to take 25 episodes but arc 6 probably will. A 40 episode season could be possible with 3 cours. 15 for the first cour, then another 12 or 13 for the second cour and then the remainning episodes for the last cour. Regardless with arc 5 and arc 6, this is going to be the best season.

my guess is that season 3 will be 25eps and adapt till volume 21, so 6vols. Shaula is the only arc 6 character that looks at us on the poster and she appears at the end of vol 21( volcanica idk maybe just as symbolic, for years I pictured a poster with his wings spread), the other arc 6 like Reid and Louis(which appears in arc 5 but arc 6 is where she shines) are facing backwards. They can even go till the end of vol22 which has shaula on the cover. And it makes sense this way cuz s4 could be vol 23-30. Arc 5-7/8 are happening right after another anyway

yeah this is going to be rough I have little faith, season 2 had such basic lacking fight scenes compared to the light novel when its supposed to be the other way round. Not to mention the production issues with white fox and the chance that arc 6 will be animated as well as arc5 is very worrying. When they couldnt even get the less frequent fight scenes in season 2 right(especially Roswaal vs Ram and Puck was butchered) theres no chance they will get the really fight heavy arc 5correct I imagine they'll even skip parts like Garfield's sparing match mostly. I wouldn't be complaining as well if they hadn't teased at arc 6 being animated too as that arc is sacred, seeing it be animataed half assed would be actually insulting, I would much rather it permanently just stay as a book when it means so much to us die hard Rezero fans.

Okay, so my Theory about Arc 6 characters of the poster. Season 2 adapted 6 volumes in total. Arc 5 contains 5 volumes. What if WhiteFox oughts to again adapt 6 vols. SPOILER FOR ARC 6 (Volume 20) If 3rd Season is going to be 25 episodes and Will adapt a part of arc 6, cool way to end it could be at the end of Volume 20 when Shaula appears after team reaches the Pleiades Watchtower. What about Volcanica, Reid and Meili on the poster? Maybe they're to tease some things up, or they are integral part of the Season. If it's true let's hope for at least 35-40+ episodes devided to Two or Three Cours. Overall, so happy to be here at the annoucement the Two Year wait is over, it was Worth every damn second! Artstyle, the designs and everything looks stunning, brings old classical feeling of 1st season. No matter how they will handle the arcs Distribution I'M HAPPY TO HAVE SEASON 3!

I would take the worry about adapting two arcs completely in this season with a grain of salt. There's no telling how far into arc 6 we'll actually get, and it's just good hype advertising to throw Shaula in the poster. I'm sure most of us figured LN content was going to be skipped before the trailer even came out, which sucks, but I'm ngl, I'm actually excited that we'll be a lot closer to getting into arc 7 then like 15 years from now or never. I can't wait I don't think any of the characters would have their outfits censored since we see lust outfit in the poster and the trailer but for the fanservice scenes is probably 50% chance it would get censored and will be uncensored in the blue ray but since re zero doesn't do fanservice that much like other anime series but we do get some fanservice from time to time so it's a possibility re zero will get censored or won't be censored when get fanservice scenes. I bet it will be splitted in 2 parts. First part this winter 2023 or spring 2024 with 11/12 eps for arc 5. Part 2 summer/winter 2024 with 13/16 eps for arc 6. The dream is arc 6 65/70% adapted in part 2 and last 2 arc 6 ln adapted in a movie

I'm worried about 2 arcs being adapted because Arc 6 is an arc that needs pretty much everything from phase 2 through the end to be present for the story to make sense

Now that I've calmed down, I've put together some information. Let's start by assuming the airing. The PV of the 2nd season came out in March 2019 and initially the second season was scheduled to air in April 2020 (then postponed due to covid in July). According to this logic, the release will take place indicatively in spring (2024). The total episodes will not be 24 or 35. @LoremIpsumVerb (important leaker of the RZ community) said that we will all be satisfied with the overall duration of this 3rd season. In the character visual you can see some characters that will only appear from arc 6 onwards. It is not 100% confirmed but there is a possibility that in addition to Arc 5, Arc 6 will also be animated (obv, we'll have 2 or 3 cours). To conclude, let's remember that this is a PV that shows the best possible quality (as for the S2) and is far from being the final product that we will see. We have to hope that whoever will animate the 3rd season (there are no confirmations on the studies but only speculations [at 100% there will be at least 2 working together]), will try to maintain a high general quality. For example, the shadows of the ears have been eliminated in S2 permanently (according to White Fox) to allow the animators and designers to be faster in creating the various scenes. (Sorry for my english)
