FIRST LOOK - Fender Vintera II 50's Stratocaster - EMPIRE MUSIC

Eric Clapton, Eric Johnson, Jimmy Vaughan, and Vintera II 50s Strats all have soft "V" necks. IMHO, they're all very comfortable. My sights are currently on this particular model of the Vintera II 50s Stratocaster. Enjoyed the demo.

How do you find it compares to the Vintera 1 50s strat?

So curious for this as well! I tried them both, I find the pick ups much spicier especially the bridge i really like of the Vintera II. But the smoothness of the vintera is lovely! The fretboard radius is the same, but the fret sizes make quite a difference, the vintera II feel "flatter". Both lovely guitars, and I'm really in doubt which one to go for!

Can anybody tell us all the thickness of the neck profile? Is it more 56 or 57?

No human under 64 years old was even born in the 50s. Old tech is never better than new, tech doesn’t devolve it evolves.

Then you don't understand guitars. It's sound , specs and preferences. I prefer the old style tuners for example. I didn't enjoy modern strat pickups compared to more vintage ones .

@@itsmorphed6416 you are presumptuous. First you don’t know me, I am an Aerospace engineer even if I’m not a luthier I guarantee I know more than you ever will. What described didn’t refute my statement all you did was indicate your preference that is just subjective.

I'm with this guy. ​@@itsmorphed6416 older music just has a sound that you can't obtain with modern technology. Sure you can emulate it but it just doesn't have the same feel or vibe to it.

Also just because this comment really grinds my gears I will give you an example of old technology being better in some situations. Imagine being out with your mates camping or whatever and you get lost. Your phones run out of battery so you can't access maps or call for help. An old school compass and map would work great. No battery to rely on so no worries.

The Strat was big news 70 years ago as a brilliant, radical design. While the Strat is still a good guitar, no amount of minor tweaks, new color choices makes a new Fender offering makes even mildly interesting no matter what silly, over the top, name the desperate marketing people inflict.
