I have been fighting depression for over a year. I had sinuous and the doctor said my Tyroid was not working properly and prescribed me Synthroid. I consult my cardiologist and he told me it was a wrong diagnosis. My cardiologist prescribed me Effexor xR for my depression and had me visit an endocrinologist. After several labs he had me go and had a Sleep Disorder Study. I was diagnosed with Apnea and I am using a CPAP now. My testosterone count kept falling so after 3 months I was prescribed Testosterone gel 1.62% / 2 pumps daily. It is only being 2 weeks. Nothing has change, however I am looking forward to start getting more strength in the gym, and to go back to my cycling trips. I need to recover my confidence and motivation. Look into tongkhat ali. It helped with my mental health by being happier and got rid of most my fatigue. Gym energy was mad insane comprared to usual. It increases testosterone typically by 35% more within just a month max and the other positive affects begin after a full week. Good stuff but u have cycle with one week off every 1 and a half months because ur body gets used to it. Take the reccomend Ed dosage of 8-900 mg daily. Do not consume more than 1,600 or else can cause some dna damage to stomach

Also with mental health it helps many people including me be in control of being normal and happy. The side affects are after taking the supplement for a few hours and it can make you be a little grumpy. I tried the gel but ended up switching to the patches because my wife was pregnant at the time (I didn't want her to come into contact with the gel on accident). Unfortunately the patches wouldn't stay on so now I get a shot of Testosterone Cypionate 200 mg/ml every 2 weeks. Ironically my wife is the one who gives me the injections. I've been on testosterone for 7 years now. I started when I was 30. When I was initially tested my testosterone levels were somewhere around 105 ng/dl. Now my average is about 600 ng/dl (1 week after shot). Before the testosterone I used to have this annoying weakness in my legs, the testosterone completely eliminated it.

I think this is seriously under-diagnosed here in the UK. Its not offered on the NHS as routine, and at my age of 77 was never discussed or mentioned, until I had a temporary gyno issue. How many men are affected one way or another due to this low T condition, and whose quality of life is being unnecessarily affected to some extent. Get it checked as its changing my life. I was feeling really low, no energy, certainly not enough to exercise. Went to my GP and had to fight for a referral to an endocrinologist. The GP just wanted to palm me off with antidepressants. I'm not depressed. I waited months before I could see the endocrinologist. My blood was checked and sure enough my testosterone level was very low. Unfortunately, the bar is set so high in the UK that the endocrinologist said I couldn't have TRT on the NHS, even though he felt it would help. However, one of the many online pharmacies in the UK has said it will prescribe Tostran 2% gel. I'm really looking forward to getting back to how I used to feel.
@Skhnn15 ай бұрын
Where abouts in the UK did they say this? I am in Yorkshire and they are doing some tests before starting me on testosterone. I am getting a referral letter from the NHS to not pay privately as these are expensive, so I will get some further tests to then commence with the testosterone gel.
@andrewfulton34355 ай бұрын
If you do the test online, get the first prescription, don't use the stuff but take it & the test results to your GP appointment & say you've started on the gel online & now obviously need to stay on it; the NHS should prescribe it to you - and if they don't, don't use the gel you bought until they have agreed to, just endlessly make appointments with different doctors.

Guys in the UK for a 20-40 year old the optimal range is 25-40 anything below 25 is not optimal. However doctors in the Uk will say that your testosterone level is normal even though for YOUR age group as a male it is low, because they have widened the gap of “normal testosterone” without addressing age groups whom differ in levels of testosterone. For example an older man has less test than a 20 year old man, logically, so do not let the doctors fool you. Rather you should argue with them, and always mention depression, fatigue and bad quality life, that will force them to help you get treatment! CIAO

I am 77 years of age and have recently been diagnosed with low Testosterone including low FREE Testosterone, well below normal levels. My UK NHS Endocrinology Doctor has had me on 1 pump per day of Testogel for nearly 7 weeks. I get a review in 5 weeks time. Definite improvement in energy, in strength and mood. As far as Libido is concerned, well not too bothered at my age, particularly due to prostate surgery. Overall, there is a benefit and I am keen to see what happens if I can continue with the treatment. I would advise any man, of any age, if he doesn't feel right, to have the levels checked. I have friends in their advanced years who complain of tiredness, lousy mood etc. Now, just how many of them would benefit from this treatment. My guess is quite a few. I was lucky, I had one sided gynecomastia and that's why they checked me, otherwise I would have been none the wiser about the levels. The gynecomastia in fact resolved itself prior to Testogel, so that was good. Just get tested is my advice but don't wait until my age.

I would totally agree, ive always has a feeling of low energy/fatigue and approaching 60 i had my testosterone levels checked with a routine physical. Was well below normal as well. I'm on one pump of 1% and feel this is more than likely not enough, I have increased energy levels and no longer a feeling of constant fatigue. Doctor wants me on this for 3 months before retesting. No other noticeable changes other than increased energy.

I think as a regular check up, all men over the age of 40 should have their testosterone levels checked as part of their routine blood work. If their levels are low, or even if their levels are not low, if they have symptoms of low testosterone they should see an endocrinologist. Why this is not done on a regular basis is beyond me. Why suffer for years, not feeling right, and have no idea what is wrong when it may be low-t and easy to fix.

The problem with gel is that it will only work if your levels are really low. Say you have low levels but they are within the natural range and you are just looking to up the levels a little bit, you will be dissapointed. In my case my body shut down it's own production and I ended up getting the same results would I not have used the gel (now that's trt right there!). Basically the only option would be to double the dosis of the gel or switch to injections but make no mistake, adding testosterone over an expanded period of time will eventually damage your body's own ability to produce iestosteron by itself and you basically become depended on it. That may be a good idea if you are 60 or something or have really low levels due to some condition but if you are a younger guy just looking to fire up the engine a little bit please take this into consideration. That's the reason why so many bodybuilders, powerlifters etc are on trt. They simply abused the hell out of it and they are paying the price.
@respectpill8822 жыл бұрын
Doing it for sometime it won't shut your own as it doesn't pass the bloodstream in crazy quantitys as injection. The recovery if it does shut down your own is much easier. And it does help you to have your levels in mid high range but within your current limits.
@respectpill8822 жыл бұрын
@Jon Oz brother i m not a doctor to make it clear. The fact is man testicles produce what like 7-10mg testosterone a day at the most. Even if your put just 20mg testo gel a day is more than enough to help you with erections, muscle maintenance, and energy in general. The question is why you want to do it? For muscle growth is not gonna help you like injections because of the amount absorbed and mg. But really if you don't have low t there is no need to do it. From the other hand if you wantnto to it to seenif it helps you do it for 2 months. More is not better def if you shutting your own production. So keep a lose dose even with gel so you can maintain your own production of testo and adding some... It won't shock right away your own production to get shut down like an injection of 120-200 ng lets say. Even the slow release injections, the amount that gets in your bloodstream at firstnis jut too much. So side effects will be worst.

@@TheRealBatCave It's different for everybody. I just started the gel myself 3 weeks ago today. I have two young kids so I worry about transferring as well. But I've seen ppl with 1600 n/pd on the gell and others it's below 400. It has to do with when you get your bloodwork done and it works amazingly for some and not so much for others. Research that. I've been doing is putting it on my upper front and inside thighs. Two pumps each side, I let it dry (still sticky unfortunately) but after a few mins you should be able to throw on BOXER BRIEFS (they help to cover a bit better) and it's getting warmer so shorts and I'm good. I just medical gloves to apply every morning after my shower.

I've had mine for 2 days now. Just scared to take it. My levels are that of an 85 year old man the doctors told me. I just turned 40. I've been telling them since 2005 my T levels are low. I have zero energy, sleep is all over the place, zero sex drive, zero stamina, feel super weak all the time. I'm 40 years old and people still think I look 25, and I get carded constantly. I was put on this stuff after seeing a doctor for fatigue. I was told my testosterone was right at borderline for low. I did what medical professionals told me. Before long it started taking a toll on my personality. I was up tight, I prowled around at nigh like a tom cat, I would just drive around. I became jumpy, being in certain places at night had me looking over my shoulder. I basically went back to all the teenage angst I had gotten over years ago. True, libido goes up but that means nothing to me. After a while I noticed I was getting cold sores. As we know cold sores are a type of herpes virus. The virus is always there but it'll come out any chance it can. My guess is a weakened immune system would do it just fine. I also stared getting urinary tract infections. They were hard to get rid of. Another tip off that maybe my immune system wasn't doing so great. Eventually my personality was so screwed up I was like a teenager, i felt like I had lost everything I had gained over the last 40 years. I saw a post form a guy who called this stuff his "fountain of youth" . It doesn't make you young, it just fools you into thinking it does. I stopped taking it and after a while I felt fine. Adding a few carbs to my nearly all protein diet and exorcising more took care of my fatigue. The UTIs and cold sores stopped as well. I regained the piece of mind I had. Then I read that this stuff stops your body from producing testosterone at all if you take it long enough. Basically it's as if you've been castrated. I can see taking it if you have lost your testicles to cancer or an accident or something. From what I've read that's what it was designed for. I also read there are a law suits against the manufacturer.
