If I'm not mistaken, All Bandai model kits are made in Japan. No matter how many fake Gundams the Chinese government makes amusement parks take down, Bandai doesn't trust the Chinese to produce them. I think they don't want the same thing to happen to GunPla that happened to Lego in China. Lego moved production to China and all a sudden, somehow other companies were able to produce practically the same parts with the same machines, strange.

IKMNification what I mean is, Bandai Japan as a company designs them. The Western Bandai that we see selling products in the US and Europe is really a different animal altogether, and doesn't sell anything even close to on par with what BanJap sells.

In recent years, Hasbro has become *RIDICULOUSLY* greedy. dumping down the quality and cranking up the prices of almost all of their toylines. Transformers? Hollow pieces of plastic with hardly any paint applications or gimmicks nobody ever asked for, for more money! Those in-between kid and collector oriented Marvel Legends figures? Yeah, lets put those in a collector price range instead and not have the paint or sculpting detailling that should go with it. Star Wars 3¾ figures? Lets take out all those pesky articulation points and charge more for it! Oh and, lets make 5 million different scales to make MOAR money! It's getting beyond absurd.

xen0bia I wouldn't say that Legends often go into a collectors price range. One thing to take into account is the fact that it's more expensive to make an action figure nowadays, prices were naturally going to increase. The "death" of 6 inch action figures in the late 2000s meant that when they had their renaissance there was no gradual price creep and they just flew into the 20 dollar margin.

Back when the new trilogy had come along, I remember walking through an American Target. I encountered one which was 4.5ft tall or so, had no articulation, and at the time had an (at the time broken) sound chip that was motion activated.
