Love seeing the racing content and mixing it with the local crowd! I live in Salt Lake so it is cool to watch just how many talented runners we have in the area. I was slated to do the Sandy City 5K but the day didn't work out for me. I hope you continue to race -- the local races are just nice dress rehearsals for the real thing. And I agree, attempting to qualify by using 4 marathons in a year is definitely taxing. I had marathon fever one year and ran 9 in 12 months and my times got progressively worse. Looking forward to your content!

Hello Adam. I have been running for 8 months now, But I have progressed quite well (see I am only 14 y/o) I got my 5km pb from 22: 30 to 17: 47 from starting to my 4th month. I huge part of my training has been using a resistance bands to stretch my hamstrings, this has benefited me hugely and I very much recommend trying this. One of the best ones to use is stretches band from locker room fitness. My dad is a physio and he treats numerous runners all with tight hamstrings, fixing this makes their running feel smoother, makes them less prone to injuries and most importantly faster. Please try this if you aren’t already. Also congrats on the 5k
