I love to watch people reacting to this song. It is an astounding rendition that I simply cannot get used to seeing people being absolutely blown away by this performance. I've only seen one channel that wasn't absolutely blown away. I got the feeling they didn't fully grasp the meaning and feeling behind the lyrics. I enjoyed watching you enjoying it.

I have now watched well over 100 reaction videos to this song. I live for that moment where the reviewer goes from the need to "Explain" things or other chatty comments to the moment of realization they have nothing to say, and instead need to just experience it in stunned silence. It is like I'm experiencing the song for the first time again.

David Draiman, the lead singer of Disturbed, is classically trained as a singer. This song is actually a cover of the classic Simon & Garfunkel hit from 1964. S&G are an AMAZING duo- their harmonies are unmatched. Yes, there is a live version- everyone will tell you to react to the Conan O’Brian tv show version. Personally, I would highly recommend the concert version- Live in Houston, where he brings another singer on the stage to sing- Myles Kennedy- an awesome singer in his own right. Together, they recreate the harmony of the original sing by the duo of Simon & Garfunkel. Or check out more Disturbed- a heavy metal band. I would recommend Down With the Sickness… ❤️🤘🏼🤘🏼😁

Kinda makes you wonder why he uses pitch correction all over this lame cover.
@suemoore64456 ай бұрын
Never uses pitch correction. He was really pissed when he found out after he was on Conan O’Brien singing this when he was really sick the O’Brien’s producer always use autotune pitch correction! Paul Simon, who wrote this, posted it on his social media and let Disturbed know that they now owned the song.
@gid40156 ай бұрын
@@suemoore6445 The studio version is obviously pitch corrected. I'm astonished anyone wouldn't hear this immediately. Wings of Pegasus channel does an analysis on the studio version and the Conan version if you doubt this. Both have the vocal tweaked to pitch. He is a faker, just like so many others. If Paul Simon really said that, he must be losing his mind. Draiman sounds like a goose farting in the fog.

It's amazing!! This song / performance shows us that we CAN come together regardless of who we are or where we're from, what kind mind of music we like, etc. I've watched hundreds of these reaction videos from around the world, and i have not seen one negative comment. Love that all people, even with all our differences, are still alike😊 we all have hearts, emotions, and feelings, and we just know when it feels right even if it's not what we are used to. I'm not a heavy metal kind of person, but i get chills every time i hear David sing his version. God bless us all - let's communicate better.

For context when paul simon originally wrote this song the world was in the middle of the cold war and half the world was seperated from the other half behind the iron and the bamboo curtain , in 1962 the cuban missile crisis happened and the world has never been so close to all out nuclear war. You could go to prison in the soviet block for listening to a Beatles song . the song is about the danger an misery of people not communicating with each other. Paul simon is a first rate composer and lyric writer and he and Art Garfunkle recorded music so beautiful and powerful , the harmonies are legendary . I love disturbed's version of this and this music video is genius but you should definitely check out the original version and also try Bridge over troubled water and Scarborough fair (canticle) just for a start by simon and garfunkle.

You should really listen to Graceland or Boy In The Bubble by Paul Simon Or if you want to AB a few songs and covers; Fiddle And The Drum - By Joni Mitchell then covered by A Perfect Circle (Tool spinoff) Die Die My Darling - By The Misfits (Danzig era) covered by Metallica The Beautiful People - By Annie Lenox and covered by Marilyn Manson Hurt - By Nine Inch Nails and covered by Johnny Cash Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylon covered by Rolling Stones (in all fairness both the Stones and Dylon cover a lot of other artists music) The list can go on for a while

Please listen original song by Simon and Garfunkel, then you will forget this one. original song is a masterpiece full of love and music sounds so good.
@SharilynBratton6 ай бұрын
I respectfully disagree, I am 62 and very familiar with the original by Simon and Garfunkel as I grew up with it; for me this cover is so much more powerful and gritty and meaningful for how the world is now. I realize crazy things were going on in S and G’s era as well but their softer, folk song approach lacks the gravitas of this cover. But I certainly can’t fault them for their gorgeous harmonies, I have to give them that. My fave songs by them are Bridge over Troubled Water, Scarborough Fair, and America.
