I think I am the old lady here. Lol I remember when this song came out in the original form in the movie The Graduate. I saw it when I was 6 or 7 and was mesmerized by the sound track. Paul Simon wrote all of it and he is a genius. Here PTX has done it full justice. Love you young folks discovering the old school stuff I grew up with.

My daughter leads a blues band in Nashville, and had a Peter Max headshot of the Fab Four on her right forearm. as well as a sun on a shoulder blade. I'm a graphics artist who always wanted a tat or two, but knew that I'd never be able to decide on it, and it would have to be my own design. ;-)

A beautiful take on an old classic ! Marvelous. Each person gets to shine here. A strong message that still is important these days ! Just like their cover of John Lennon's IMAGINE ! Mitch does have a lot of tattoos, and so does Kirsten. Scott has a few, also. Depending on the song, and audience for certain songs, Mitch hides his either more or less. If there is something I take from this video is Matt"s awesome voice. He is the type of singer who steps away from the microphone for his voice is so powerful .I love that. I think you watched their Amazing Grace from a few months ago and each person has a full moment to stand out. I know you've done one or two Morissette, so here is an acapella version of Rise Up which I think will blow your brains out. I have to give your new song a few more listens, as rap is so out of my 'wheelhouse', but do you feel that with all your reaction videos you'll be applying any of what you have heard to your new stuff? Yes Mitch has quite a lot of tattoos, Scott has some on one of his arms and Kirstin has a few as well. Mitch has a lot more, he has loads on both arms and the ones on his hands that you could see, he also has one on one of his legs, a big huge one it’s like a painting. Mitch is a big fan of fashion, painting, tattoos and Techno stuff. He is very into all kinds of arts, I have noticed he loves going to art museums and fashion shows especially in Paris, I think Paris is his favourite place to go too as well as Japan, they all love Japan. I think if Mitch could he would love to live in Paris

As beautiful as this song is, it's a shock that what they are talking about is a nuclear explosion with people walking aimlessly about and those that remember write the story on tenement walls and subways halls so that people won't forget what got us there. This was a song first created by Simon and Garfunkel singing about the cold war when we feared a war with Cuba. As a child, I remember the , ' duck and cover' training that we practiced under our school desks. This was a song written in the 60's when I was a child,. But Pentatonix has made it's song for today with our hearing of certain countries practicing with missiles,not knowing where they will be aimed. Pentatonix does this song so much justice. So many of the younger generation do not remember those times and try to figure out what this song means. What I just wrote explains it all. An earthshaking reminder. They do a fantastic job! 💙 I Love Pentatonix!

Here is my theory about the evolution of The Sound of Silence. The Simon & Garfunkel original was a gentle, friendly warning about things to come. The Disturbed cover was an angry response that the warning was ignored. The Pentatonix cover is an optimistic belief that the warning may still be heard and responded to. And yes, it is VERY possible to fall more and more in love with this group with every new video you watch. You should check out some of their tour and/or sessions behind the scenes videos. There you'll discover that they also have great personalities, are VERY funny and fun-loving, and they love their fans as much as the fans love them.

PTX did a great job of covering "The Sound of Silence" originally by Simon and Garfunkel in 1964. Just goes to show...good music is timeless. Want to try some more great music from the 60's & 70's? Try "If", "Sweet Surrender", "Everything I Own", "Baby I'm a Want You", "Diary" and many more by a group called "Bread", or try "Nights in White Satin", by the Moody Blues in 1967. I think you will be surprised. (by the era of the music I'm giving away my age) I also enjoyed checking out your reactions and your music. Keep up the good work.

Kirstie, Mitch and Scott all have several tattoos mostly on their arms but Scott and Kirstie have tattoos on their fingers and Mitch has them on the backs of each hand; and you can see in some of the newer videos the extent of Kirstie's tattoos because she is wearing sleeveless tops and it looks like she has a dog tattoo on the lower part of her arm. This is one of my favorite songs that they covered. After 10 years together they are a well-oiled machine and their harmonies seem to blend together so effortlessly.

Believe me or not, but there on KZbin are lots of bands and singers that deserve so much love from reactors. Pentatonix is special in their own way, that is true, but even I after I have heard so many covers by them, I wanted to find something different. That is why in 2020 I have found many interesting singers and bands. So if you want to check something else you can check any cover made by Halocene- my favorite band right now! :)

If you google mitch grassi tattoos you can see images of the various tattoos he has. People that dont follow him on superfruit or social media are always surprised he has so many since his clothes usually cover up the majority of them. Most die hard fans know about them as he tends to tweet or instagram all his latest.

Really glad you liked this version, it's definitely one of my favourites! Yes, their tattoos are real - Scott has a full sleeve, Kirsten and Mitch have larger pieces as well. Mitch recently got a half sleeve covered with blackwork, full solid black. One thing, the camera moving is quite distracting and the focus keeps going off - not sure if this is something to look into in future. Love the channel though ,keep it up :)
