As a CFMoto owner, I can tell they came to compete. And they must have done well after the first few bikes they released in the US because suddenly there were several more on the way. I am looking forward to the IBEX800 (both versions) and hoping the local dealer will get them soon.

That was different and fun. Would be cool to see a follow up. For me the Tenere looks like a strong contender for the ADV/dual sport that you can ride to the trail, enjoy the trails, then ride home in relative comfort and it just does it all really well while not being too heavy or tech saturated or too expensive... or a KLR... I hope the Ibex delivers similar performance to the Tenere and some real competition in this market spot.

I'm on my second CF MOTO (300-650NK) and they haven't disappointed at all. There's something kinda nice about being able to fiddle around with a brand new bike without feeling like your gonna void the warranty by staring too hard. My dealer just got a fleet of 450sr's that I'm totally gonna rest ma cheeks on 😅. I really do want to size up an IBEX vs the 650 adventura to compare fit and finish and design changes other than the engine.

Just bought the Ibex 800T… so far I like it but there are some strange throttle issues under 4K RPM. Otherwise I love how it looks and it’s comfortable. I just feel like it wants to buck me off when I engine break and it gets under 4k… it lurches.

I always love how everyone at some point ends up in the ADV world, even after bashing it. I just skipped all that and went from a cruiser as my first bike to the ADV world. No kids yet, but will be happening soon lol. I feel like it is the 2nd final form, before buying a Goldwing to fit your catheter in your bags.

I guess I am not the only one then. I feel like coming into motorcycles cruisers were the asthetic of a "motorcycle" on my head, but after living with one and learning more about them the style of ADVs actually grew on me and they are just better and more complete bikes

The only time I have ever looked at a service manual on a bike was to see what the correct tire pressure should be and how much oil it takes. Everything(In design terms) on CFmoto bike is stolen from either the Japanese bikes or KTM. If you can work on a Japanese bike, you should be able to work on a CFMoto.

CFMoto is really showing us something here. This kinda feels almost like a direct T7 competitor. It kinda seems like they model one of their bikes after a big 4 bike then throw more tech on it for the 'value for money' argument.

There is no way anybody can convince me that a CFMoto bike is of the same quality and reliability of a Japanese bike. But I will say, because they are so cheap in price, they are really going to put pressure on entry level bikes and the used bike market. a CFmoto 650 is just a little over $6K out the door. Thats dirt cheap. Ninja 650s and MT-07s used are generally around the $5K to $6K price point. Them and Royal Enfield are going to put a lot of pressure on used bikes as they become more and more available.
@Whitney_Does Жыл бұрын
It’s definitely a tall order of convincing to get people on board with not only a new manufacturer, but a Chinese one. But CFMOTO did not come here to fuck around. These will be serious contenders. Also the Chinese have been making motorcycle engines forever. Some major KTM models have em.
