This legitimately was probably one of the most helpful videos. Your other videos help me pass my andasm exam, but this one made me feel like I didn't have to guess what I had to do next as a CPT.

Great stuff Joe! I just passed NASM CPT and trying to visualize what my next step is for getting experience. Before, I jump in and make a bunch of mistakes, I want to at least have an idea in my mind of how to approach clients and start working with them. Plus, need to find a possible location to do all this, my next contemplation phase as well. I'm on the fence leaving my old profession as real estate appraiser completely. My license for that career is coming up in January and very expensive to renew. If I could be confident that I can replace that income with CPT, I wouldn't even consider renewing the license and focus more time and energy on becoming a great CPT. Thank again for all your helpful videos, they also helped my prep and prepare for the NASM exam.

Thanks! I have considered signing up. However, I live in Sacramento, CA and that would be an expense I can't afford yet. But, I'm still considering this to jumpstart my career. @@Axiomfitnessacademy

I got my NASM cert 9/25/23 and waited 6 months before deciding to start my own business. The rates you get from a company are just brutal; I get it, but still... Anyway, I was wondering the same thing as you, how to get experience, so after I opened my business I offered 3 months free PT sessions for up to 10 people. Ended up with around 5-6 people with 2-3 being solid weekly clients, the rest is just scheduling issues or they would be. The agreement is that I train them for free, they give me an honest review for my website, social media pages, etc and they take progress pictures that I can use later and most importantly, when people ask them how they are looking better they give people my card or my info.. I've already got one person that I'm meeting with today and I haven't even gone public yet (August 1, 2024). This gives me time to build my website, get contact forms ready for launch, test, learn, etc. Videos like this and sorta healthy are great for checking what you do with your clients and additions you can make. Can't wait to get more involved in this community

@@Jointfitnesllc I got my NASM certification in January and I finally quit my job as it was time for me to let it go. I have decided to take the leap and finally put my CPT to use. I have been nervous about where to start didn’t really know how to go about it since I don’t hold much experience with PT but your plan seems like a GREAT start. I think allowed people to train with you free of charge can give you great feedback and help you become more confident in this career field! Thank you for sharing!

@@Jointfitnesllc Where did you find to train your clients? That's the challenge I'm finding, as commercial gyms won't allow me to train members, as they have their own coaches ...

can i ask? what are the challenges that you usually faced every time you have a client?
@Axiomfitnessacademy24 күн бұрын
These days I face far fewer challenges with clients. However, in the past, some of the things that I found to be common were feeling confident asking for money, creating programs like got clients excited but also met their unique needs, and making sure that the potential client and I were a good personality fit for each other.
