Been fishing from Watt to CSUS couple times a week on spoons and spinners and haven’t gotten anything but snags. Any tips for a new fisherman trying to catch his first steely?

Keep doing what you’re doing man. They’ll start coming in here pretty soon in bigger numbers. You’ll dial it in. I find with the spoon sometimes they like the “flutter.” When you think your spoon is in the hole, stop reeling for a second, bring your rod tip up a few feet, then let it fall and start reeling again.

What lb line would you suggest?
