The song deals with depression. It makes the upbeat sound voluntarily weird, but depression is sometimes hidden. The lyrics describe the symptoms pretty clearly: lack of motivation, not taking care of oneself, refusal of social interactions, failure to take pleasure.

@@AceofBadeReacts well Henning definitely is an introvert, at least compared to his bandmates, so maybe that interpretation is not so far off. But I think he has suffered the depression, too.

@@thomasalbrecht5914 I do not agree. It describes the aftermath of a party night out which cause depression like symptoms. Also known as 'Saufdepression'. That is not at all about clinical depression.

I’m not saying that your interpretation ist wrong, but for me, the upbeat sound fits well, because it is much more lighthearted than you describe it. IMO it is just about a young man who has been partying too much and decides to stay at home tonight. Seems to be a good idea after a massive hangover the last night, I suppose. Next weekend he will join the same old friends, I bet. :=) Staying at home to recover and reflecting your life is a good idea, it is not a sign for depression in the first place.

I think, the song is more about depression after a break up. The dancy vibe may be a signal for hope and recovery.

Thank you for this ❤ Literally any performance from this tour is FIRE. I wish I could have been there, too. I watched the tour document & all of the performances they released, and the atmosphere was just.. magical. My favorite is probably the live performance of "Ausgehen" from their last concert of this tour in their hometown, Cologne (Köln in German). And, I have to add: The German audience is usually very chill & barely not dancing. To see that crowd just wildly jumping and dancing tells a LOT about this band. The charisma just oozes through the screen. They're amazing!! My main goal rn is to see them live next summer. For now they have only announced three concerts, all festivals. I hope they'll add some to their calendar, but I am afraid this is going to be all we get 😔

The song title translates to: „I don't think I'll go dancing today.“ So basically he decides to plan his evening at home watching a western movie and: „Ich glaub, ich rauche heute Pflanzen.“ He believes he will probably just smoke some „Plants“ as in smoking Weed.

They have so many good track (cover and original) you can happily react to "Ausgehen", "Jenny Jenny", "Barfuss am klavier" om my favorite "Ozean" in two awsome versions. It's hard to miss with them

Just a little tip for the pronouciation of german words..the "ch" (like in ich, nich etc) is pronounced more like the english "sh". So "ich" is not "ik" more like "ish". The "ch" is hard for native engish speakers to pronounce, as it comes from the throat, rather then tongue. There are some exceptions that for most are impossible to say right, like the word for revenge or throat.."rache" and "rachen". Its a weird chrr sound english speakers are not used to make (but funny to hear when they try). So mostly youre fine with shh when a ch comes across. Ish sounds better than ick. (Except in berlin..ikke is another story😂 ).
