@@chuckdunton7956 yeah and Andy had 2 in there as well. It was crazy. No one would even put them on the radio in the early 70s because the sound was changing so they put out jive talking without their name on it and sent to the DJs and the reaction was crazy . People couldn't believe it was the Bee Gees. They could change with the times without being fake, they just picked up the vibe and made their magic. So glad to see them getting love from a new generation after the disco haters turned on them. They kept writing though. Saturday Night Fever would have never made the money it made without the Brothers Gibb writing all that amazing music. If you want to have a party, that soundtrack never disappoints. This song ended the film and it was fucking perfect. I wasn't old enough to see it but I snuck in and I just wanted to me in love like that.

Great song! In the 70’s, these guys were kings in the disco world, but that came with a very high price for them. It took time for them to regain popularity as their name & music had reached saturation (their words in interviews, not mine). They spent time writing & producing for many other artists until they felt that they could “reinvent” themselves. The music they came up with, in my opinion, is some of their best! It’s a deep, but wonderful rabbit hole & you will never be disappointed!

The brothers harmonize so technically perfect, you would think that this was one guy, one voice, laying down multiple tracks to achieve the result. But yet we are privileged to have witnessed God given, natural talent. At 70 I still love music from the old days. Please give a listen to The Righteous Brothers, Karen Carpenter etc. to hear unique voices that come along once in a lifetime. Some music has a profound impact, bringing tears of joy. Born close to the bootheel of Missouri, I grew up with Rock'n'roll, Delta Blues, Rock, Rockabilly and gospel music and the classical works. Me and my young teen children were lucky enough to be in Memphis, TN in 2004 for the 50th anniversary of Rock and Roll. What memories!

Bonds for life. People were more good natured in the 70's. It was the best time of my life! I still jump up, at the drop of a hat to get my groove on to a favorite song or beat! My son just 30 now describes me as always wild & free, in a good way!! Memories can be treasures!! I have my favorite groups,, or solo artists, a few were; Earth, Wind & Fire Marvin Gaye Kool & the Gang " Get Down On it", The Eagles "I Can't Tell You Why" Temptaions, AL Jarreau, Ohio Players, The Righteous Brothers, The Spinners. So so many really talented people. Just started watching your channel & love that you are wise enough to know there are MANY diff types of music & artists that are just amazing! Best one, with all four brothers ( including the youngest, Andy ) is You Should Be Dancing. Unbelieveable. I guess it's the live version. You probably heard "Stayin Alive"? That song is a good one--defines the Disco era. They wrote the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever, and man oh man, those movie scenes with this music is so cool. I agree; they are amazing singers, and Barry (the lead singer) is a great song writer. He has written hits for so many other artists. I watched a documentary on them on KZbin awhile back, and they grew up singing together. The falsetto didn't really come in to play until the Disco era when they did the Saturday Night Fever track. Then that became their signature sound. They sang together their whole lives from childhood on, so they harmonize so well together.

The Bee Gee's are the ne of the best of the 60's and 70's. They are one of the best of the Disco era. Their harmonies are insane. The Brothers Gibb. They are Barry the lead singer, Robin the slim one with long hair, and the other one is Maurice. There is another brother that sometimes sings with them, their youngest brother, Andy. But, he is a solo artist ( I just want to be your everything and Shadow dancing). Maurice and Robin ( they were twins) passed away, only Barry, the eldest is left. Other songs you might like from them are: You should be dancing, To love somebody, Tragedy, Nights on Broadway, Night fever, and Love you inside out. If you want to hear Robin sing solo react to "I started a joke". If you want to hear Barry with Barbra Steisand react to: "Guilty" and "What kind of fool". The songs were written by the Gibb brothers.
