As a teenage boy, with my hormones popping, she made a huge impression on me. I had a poster of her on my wall, and once went to a Blondie concert. The place was packed. Only just turned eighteen, I had spent all day in the pub with my mates and got dead drunk before we went into the club. All that booze, and being crushed in the crowd, took its toll and I passed out. I came too as I was being carried out over the heads of everyone. I looked over at Blondie on the stage, and she blew me a kiss. Well, it could have been to me, or anyone else in the crowd. But I swear to god, she looked straight at me. I will never forget that look in her eyes. That's pretty much the most rock and roll thing I have ever done.......lol! Fantastic memories.

@@solomonkane6442 Blondie was never a "bubble gum pop" band but they did do covers of pop songs early on in their career but started as a punk rock band then experimented with different styles like disco, new wave, reggae and rap. At that time in music history it was rare for a woman to front a rock band when Blondie first started out performing on stage and Blondie was a rock and roll band that had a punk edge early on in their career.
