This song always makes me cry. When he talk about the six petals, it's a reference to his BTS's brothers. Maybe because he was called as a trainee just because his visuals, he used to think he was a burden on his brothers' shoulders (he said it explicitly during a concert when he was injured and couldn't dance). I hope the military is making him more confident and conscious of his power. Another thing: he was the maknae (youngest) in his family. He became the older in BTS' family. This is a heavy burden he had to take and he nailed it! ("It's my fate").

This song breaks my heart. Jin felt" less than" when they first started out; he thought everybody else was so much more talented than he was in the beginning. He sings as well as any of them and dances well enough, but it is his sweet, loving personality that makes him irreplaceable. He was one of two with a driver's license, a car, and some spending money when they first started. He fixed breakfast and lunch bags for the youngest three (Jimin, V, and Jungkook), drove them to high school and then went on to university. The rappers were writing music all day while they were gone, and then dance practice when school was over. I have read that Jin wanted to get a head start on hard choreography before the group tackled it so he wouldn't hold them back. He practiced before and after the group practices. He is a real sweetheart!

His feelings are understandable since he was the only member without a music or dance background…but boy have things changed!!! Wish he hadn’t been so hard on himself thinking he was talentless. Just remember in Korea and k-pop “visual” is an actual respected and coveted position. And he is perfect for that.

Jin calls the other members his flowers and the army his butterflies. He saying maybe i cant never dance like the other flower petals over there...the other members,he is referring to. Hes came a long way from just being a pretty face. His voice is the best to me. It makes me cry and the tone makes me get goose bumps. Just really beautiful. But he still thinks he's known only for his handsome face.

My heart aches for him when I hear this song. Tears start welling in my eyes to imagine how he struggled and did his best. He has always taken great care of the six flowers he holds in his hands (RM, Suga, J-Hope, JungKook, Taehyung and Jimin). He is the eldest member of BTS and felt responsible for caring for them as they were teenagers when they were trainees at Big Hit and official members of the group.

Jin has an amazing voice, more so because he was recruited for his looks. He makes the vocal line perfect - V with the low tones, Jimin with the very high tones, Jungkook with the melodic voice, and Jin with the strong, steady, powerful voice. He's the eldest brother, and full of good humor.

We are just blown away every time they write something new. Awake is a heart wrenching song in many ways and Jin puts his whole heart and soul into his song. As he was at university as he was planning to go into acting he didn't have any idea of singing or dancing but when that agent stopped him and asked him to join BigHit he went along and signed up. He always felt he wasn't good enough to be part of BTS that they were all great Singers, Rappers and Dancer yet he felt untalented. He worked so hard and listen to that voice and you can see his acting abilities as he sings he doesn't just stand there and sing he's living his lyrics.

This really is the saddest song from Jin's heart. When they began Jin felt very inadequate next to the obvious talents of his band mates, he had never sung or danced before. Being the eldest he was in charge to some extent, but felt unworthy, he sings of "holding 6 flowers", he acted as a mother to them, cared for and helped them, and worked tirelessly to improve his performance skills at singing and dancing. We watch this song, and others he has sung, and admire his beautiful voice , but for him it was a struggle against a desire to keep being with these 6 stars and not to be a cause of embarrassment. This is one of the most heartfelt songs there is.

We are anxiously awaiting Jin's return in mid-June. Every year on the anniversary of their debut (6-13-13) BTS present an event called FESTA. This year Jin will be the ONLY BTS member available for FESTA as he gets out of the military on June 11th. In June 2022 we had 7 members for FESTA. In 2023 we had 4. And in 2024 Jin has shoulder the burden alone. But being the oldest hyung he is used to leadership and individual initiative. Good job on the reactions. Lots of surprises in KPop for us old rock and roll fans. 💜💜

Enjoyed this reaction! I don't believe I have heard this song, I know I have not seen the live performance. He has such an amazing voice to think he originally wanted to go into acting. Each member has so many parts to them, still finding out little jewels. Jin needs to be encouraged how much he does bring to BTS, not just his talents, but the laughter, joy and encouragement he brings, even when he acts silly for a laugh. So it super nice to help raise he viewing numbers, especially now that he is in the military to help encourage him that Army is waiting for June 2024. Looking forward to his solo album. Blessings

😂 you’ve having the same reaction to bits as we do - there’s not a bad song amongst the hundreds they’ve produced and performed Can’t wait for you to enjoy their non-musical content. They’re sooooo much content: “BTS Rookie King”, “Run BTS”, “Bon Voyage”, “In the Soop”…they’ve been on countless Korean variety shows such as “Running Man” and they keep up with their social media accounts. There are also many professionally produced documentaries on Disney+ and Prime Video…oh boy No one works harder than BTS. They probably joined the Korean army to get a break and relax…🤣🤣🤣
