Counting Crows are totally badass. Live CC is always a trip - Adam Duritz, the lead singer does a lot of improv with the melody and the lyrics. August and Everything After is one of those rare “perfect albums” - phenomenal start to finish. I’m also a huge fan of their follow up, Recovering The Satellites. It’s harder and edgier, which isn’t usually my thing, but they do it so well.

Some context. The singer Adam Duritz is a lyrical genius. He didn't want fame. It made him self conscious. The band broke up after 3 great albums. He kept out of the spotlight. He's back now doing his own thing and a great human
