A few years ago I went to see Denis Leary promote his book at the synagogue on 6th & I (being from DC, you know where I’m talking about). It was about an hour long live interview and to finish it off he led the crowd in an a cappella version of Asshole. A memorable experience indeed. Joining a congregation in singing Asshole at the top of our lungs inside a Jewish Synagogue... 😂

i met dennis leary before. he came into a bar i used to work at in 1997 in boston and he was with cam neely. he actually came in atleast 3 times i had seen him there. i had a couple conversations with him and can honestly say he is complete opposite of asshole. he was a really nice guy. one night while he was there my sister and her friends came in and i took my sister over to meet him. he was with his wife and cam with his wife. they all chatted with her and she got an autograph (back before cell phone days of selfies). just wanted to share that with y’all. if you read all my rambling have a great day!

In the old days the men would carry the barrel of whiskey from one end to the other end, the effect of years of doing that caused them to have slumped shoulders hence the name monkey shoulder.
