Back in the day I had a CD changer in my car. I used to take my 85 year old grandma to run her errands. Twice I caused her to side eye me. There's a song by Eminem called Fack. It's pretty bad. Lol! I stopped at a gas station to grab a bottle of water and left the car running. Standing at the counter I hear that song, loudly! She was fumbling, trying to change it and accidentally turned the volume up. I dropped her off and gave her a hug and kiss and she said, "imma pray for you" Lol! Two weeks later, same scenario, this song. This time it wasn't a quiet ride home! She just said "What is wrong with you?" And under her breath I hear, "Ain't no prayer gonna help this child!" RIP Mamaw!

Australian band, by the time this came out in 1991 and was a worldwide hit they were already out about 10 years and a big deal in Australia. They started out a lot more rock/new wave prior to this album. Check out the song “Boys in Town” which was an early Aussie hit for them. Chrissy (the singer) started out with a wild, almost scary image and then with this album she vamped up her image. Sadly she died from cancer in 2013.

Love this song!! The story behind this song is, “ .. that the song (I Touch Myself) spoke louder every day from that moment that we confirmed her intuition had been right. Chrissy Amphlett may not have thought at the time that the song was ever going to relate to breast cancer, but she wants people to live and that means women & men giving themselves the chance, to be more aware”. Chrissy died at the age of 53 from her battle with Breast Cancer April 21, 2013. 😢

Chrissy would be 63 if she was stil with us big on the Australian pub seen in the early 80s in her very young day's she lived in western Sydney then moved up around Newcastle

Stan, this was a fun song on soooo many levels. 🤣 (I just learned she passed from breast cancer. OMG another one taken so early 😭) I think this was a one hit wonder but I’m not certain. A perfect reaction. Now on to a more important thing. It’s been a bit since a Carpenters reaction. I just saw you pop up in a compilation of reactors so I checked your list of recents and don’t see one. So, Mr. Stan I’m going to ask you to react to a live performance with Karen also, ya know, smiling. If Karen is smiling we know what she’s doing. And it ain’t nothin’ to do with the above. The song is Mr. Guder, the show is The Tonight Show, in 1973. There are 2 other parts to this appearance but I’m just concentrating on this song. It’s a lesser known song but it’s a pure joy. Yeah, it’s lust, maybe not long lasting, but as long as you’re both on the same page it all good and she’s definitely on that page lol. I’m sorry to hear she passed away from breast cancer; how awful if it’s true.
