The plane crash happened three days after this album was released, Steve Gaines widow asked AMC to change the album cover because it had her husband engulfed in flames , and to their credit they did recall the album and and put a black background on it

The original version is worth a lot of money. My friend has one still in the plastic unopened.

Three days after this album's release they crashed. They immediately changed the cover to a black background removing the flames.

I seen them three times before the plane crash, I don’t think there is a single Lynyrd Skynyrd song that I don’t like.. great band that their time was cut short…

This was a Crawdaddy sing composed by steve Gaines. Ronnie just had to vocalize it. It is 100% a Steve Gaines song . Ronnie only covered songs he had 100% faith in .

oh lawd.....paalease!!!! up until I watched this reaction,I have heard no one in the history of mankind has ever compared Skynyrd to Feckin Poison. I'm wounded.

I guess you didn't really listen then! I said Poison must've drew inspiration from the riff. That's not a comparison. All artists draw inspiration from the peers they respect and lots of them cop bits and pieces and make it their own. Absolutely nothing wrong with that! 😃

I think this is a taste of what Steve Gains was going to bring to the Band if he had lived I believe that's him on the opening guitar.and that picture was the front cover of there last record it was change after the crash.

Nothing this band did ever surprises me. They were the best at their craft. They influenced every genre of music, and Country music is HUGELY influenced by Southern Rock.

Regarding the album cover you used; The 'Flame' picture was the original cover art when the album was first released before the crash in 1977. Afterwards, the record company decided, rightfully so, that it was in poor taste. So they reissued the album using the back cover photo (no flames) as the front cover.

You guys could play this reaction channel thing straight, you know. Not bad commentary, and eventually if enough people see you, the disguises will become so familiar, like wallpaper, that you might realize that you never needed them. I saw Skynyrd the summer before the crash; stadium show. They followed Ted Nugent and were on before Blue Oyster Cult.

Poison and Skynyrd in the same vernacular is bad juju.

I definitely agree that they are worlds apart...but!....everyone takes inspiration from bands/music that they love...doesn't matter who is being inspired by it....but the creator of it has got to be honoured that people love their music enough to "steal" ideas from it.

How about a band that has solid roots in classic rock of the '70s and '80s, but the oldest one just turned 24? And how about if they were 3 sisters? If you haven't heard *The Warning,* then you need to hear *The Warning!* Try 'Evolve' from the 2023 MTV VMAs. Or their newest is 'S!CK'. Or their completely rebuilt and repainted 'Enter Sandman', which is on Metallica's _Blacklist_ album.
