This song is so special It's bittersweet It's beautiful but it's sad. For in deep ST fans this is also filled with call backs and references that make it even more emotional. It always makes me cry And yo I am hooked on your reactions so thank you for sharing these reactions A few ST recommendations that will definitely hit you in your feelings are Bloodsport , Missing Limbs , Fall for Me , Atlantic and DWTYLM

It’s been fun watching you go through ST’s music! I’m glad you liked most of it! Euclid is defined as follows, An ancient Greek mathematician; the founder of the study of geometry. Euclid's Elements is the basis for modern school textbooks in geometry. ST has taken their fans on a journey across 3 albums (and two EP’s), Euclid is the final track that pulls the entire thing together. There are so many references to previous songs and it made a lot of us very emotional.

Actually this is probably one is the happiest sleep token songs. Cuz this is the end of the trilogy and he is finally finding the strength to let go and move on from his past and the loss of his lover and has found self love and possibly someone else that can love him the way he has longed to be loved. So he is becoming a new and better version of himself.

I think are you really ok the apparition and rain all go together. And I believe take me back to and acsessioms send to be him fighting himself too finally let go of the one that he had been chasing that broke him cuz he just didn't know how to let her go and he didn't love himself or maybe blamed himself for whatever happened. But in these last songs he's finally coming to the realization that it isn't all his fault and that she is gone but still always with him and wouldn't want him to keep suffering. And would want him to move on with his life. I have a whole theory on this subject.

@@tracyraines1059he first album sundowning imo is about the love of his life passing away from altheimers then falling into a dream state to worship the goddess/god sleep as a coping mechanism to deal with his loss and falling in love with it instead. Album 2 this place will become your tomb imo is about an extremely abusive relationship between vessel and sleep and it making vessel do some truly awful things to prove himself the to god and as a result loathing himself in result. And album 3 take me back to eden is vessel coming to realise that he doesn't need sleep to move on in his life and learning that the god isn't that great of a being and cutting all ties and becoming a better person for going through that he went through. The three albums are kind of a concept based around the stages of grief imo but saying that I could be completely wrong aswell. WORSHIP

@@rybo0072 I'm pretty sure it was his mom or a grandma or something that had dementia. Not a lover. Usually young people don't generally have that. But I do believe that he lost a lover to suicide. And to cope with that and his mom or whoever it was that had dementia. I believe he created this whole world that he could get lost in and the God/goddess sleep which is probably his lover in his mind cuz he just couldn't let her go. And I believe he spiraled down a dark path trying to find ways to get her back such as magic/ witch craft/ and even summoning gods. And even maybe getting hooked on something like sleeping pills or heroin to just try to sleep as much as he could cuz he was with her in his dreams. And at times seems like he's probably tried taking his own life but failed.

@@rybo0072 I pretty much agree with most of what you said except the love of his life having altimerszers/ dementia cuz I'm pretty sure vessel isn't much older then 30 .

Vessel is like a modern day poet, Such a sweet farewell 😊 this song is touching❤thanx again😊... this song has lyrical callbacks from chokehold, and the end is the ending of their first album .... this one cuts deep.

To me this song feels like the lead singer (Vessel) finally beginning to accept all the stuff that's he's been through and he's ready to move on and become someone better. Sounded like a thank you to the fans for joining him on his journey and also a potential goodbye to this era of the band. Shit's just beautiful man. Says a lot that it made you emotional even without having that much context on their earlier music. Dope to see you so excited about this band brodie, there's still sooo much to explore. Hope you enjoy the ride my friend 💙

just so yk, there are many many references to older songs in this one from past releases and this album. the entire last piano section has lyrics pulled directly from their song "the night does not belong to god", and its the same melody and everything. that night does not belong to god song is the first song on their sundowning album, so the beginning of that album up till the end of this one all ties together, yk?

Yeah this song is a heavy hitter for sleep token fans because of its emotional call back. When he says "we tangle endlessly", it's the same melody and part from their first song on their first album so it was a cool moment to experience.

I would highly recommend listening to The Night Does Not Belong To God but bring up the definition of Sundowning (it's the title of the album and has direct implications on the lyrics of the song). There are call backs from the last track in this album trilogy (Euclid) all the way back to the first song of the first album. Enjoy!
@hawknessrising1 Жыл бұрын
I havnt seen anyone mention it yet so I will, the main heavy hitters in the lyrics are "the night belongs to you" (directly pulled from The Night Does Not Belong To God) and "this bough has broken through" which comes from their song When The Bough Breaks off the Two EP. Highly recommend listen to the first 2 EPs the Sundowning, This Place Will Become Your Tomb, then Take Me Back To Eden. Such an amazing story being told.

This track ties directly into the first track off their album Sundowning called: The Night Does Not Belong to God. So since Euclid is the last track of the this album, it kind of completes the trilogy of concept albums as it loops back on itself.

This track makes me cry everytime at the end when it links back to the night does not belong to god in a major key but its happy tears because vessel (the character in the story) finally learnt to let go and became a better person for it 🥲 such an amazing trilogy of albums with a deep story and lore

You need to listen to “The night doesn’t belong to god”. The lyrics are from that song. Thats their first song on Sundowning album. This is the last song on this record. Full circle bro. Its beautiful.
