@Triumph-nz8pt2 жыл бұрын
The Bee Gees owned everything. everywhere they went, their walk was 'the' power walk of that decade. They just exude confidence, its amazing for me to watch. I wish I had that confidence. Any man who can walk, sing, strut like that while wearing white jeans...that's it for me! Sorry I am a huge fan of The Bee Gees and Barry, of course. There is so very much more, I truly hope you do more and I'll will be right here for it, several times xo Luv ya Dereck! (pls do For Whom the Bell Tolls - live in New York under the bridge-you'll see Robin showcased here, it's lovely) thank you!

The pace of this song, combined with its title, has made it the global no.1 tool for teaching and learning to do CPR correctly, and thus has saved many, many lives. There's also a Queen hit with the right pace, but it's considered less suitable for heart attack situations because of its title: "Another one bites the dust"...

You are quite right, if you hear this song and don't start dancing/moving when you hear this song, you need to take a look at your soul. Side note (although plenty of you may have mentioned this), if you need to do CPR for someone, chest compressions should be done to the beat of "Staying Alive."

Phenomenal bass-lines by Maurice and guitar-riff by Alan Kendall. Drums? They produced a drum-loop and used it also on other songs of that period. Their drummer, Dennis Bryon left the studio because his mam passed those days. When he returned, hearing that drum-loop, he didn't want to get it out of the game. Only made some additional cymbals and percussions.

It makes you want to put on the white suit, the black shirt, the black heeled ankle boots, and spin the mirror ball. 🤩 It"s the disco turning of the Bee Gees who previously sang rather pop. The singer had the idea to change his voice by going very high in the octaves (falsetto voice) for this new style of music that was included in their record repertoire. The success was immediate, the film helping, they saw themselves propelled to the rank of superstars. Their career having started 20 years ago, they had already made some big hits before, like "I Started A Joke" (released in 1968, a beautiful song) for example, which had ranked very well in the charts. You must watch the movie "Saturday Night Fever" (with John Travolta very young et the time) from which "Stayin Alive" is extracted.

The American Red Cross uses Stayin Alive to teach CPR. The beat to the song matchesthe Compression rae needed for CPR. The other song that works is by Queen Another One Bites The Dust. That matches as well. The Red Cross prefers the more positive outlook Song.

The official video fades out early because there is an INSANE high note near the end of the album version.
