If my memory serves me correctly Tom Petty was a born and raised Floridian. He died a couple of years ago of a heart-attack in his sleep,I think. He'd been touring with a fractured hipbone, but not, according to his wife, not using any prescription painkillers. One of my favorite all time songs. Been listening to it for 30 years and never once did I wonder if they were both dragging each other's hearts around. Just let it be Brad. A lot of music is about sound and rythm and feel or moodl (and sometimes cool lyrics thrown in) but not every song means something or is based on a true story. Sometimes words just flow together and the "meaning" behind them isn't meant to be held up to a hard interpretation.
