Tenerife is probably the nicest place I've ever been to in Europe, its so cool how you can go from the dry desert areas where nothing can grow , to banana fields where tropical fruits can grow, to snow on top of Teide and then rainforests in Anaga in the north to waterparks like siam park etc, hard to find somewhere that has all that in such a small area. People that don't rent a car to explore the island are missing out on so much

I am far from fluent, but your pronunciation is very good - better than 90% of other Brits, some of whom have been staying there for 10+ yrs! FYI, in July the sea temp was c 23C (range 19C to 24C). Tenerife is the same latitude as Florida, but the summer sea/air temp is lower, due to of the prevailing NE current/winds I've heard. Some of the beaches were destroyed (imported Sahara sand) a few days ago due to high waves/heavy swell. I'm a flightsim freak - I'm currently flying from Glasgow to Tenerife, mirroring the flight I'll take on Fri afternoon. ¡Salud!
