As a hardcore Little Monster since 2008, I completely understand where you’re coming from. Your opinion is TOTALLY valid and true to your experience with this album. As someone who is part of the LGBT+ community, this album was a celebration for us. It’s over-the-top, theatrical, rebellious, sexy and flat out GAY. Not to say that it can’t be enjoyed by any straight person, but we cheered as we found an artist willing to bring issues to light and make music that we know we would enjoy. I applaud your journey and thank you for your reaction. This album is special to a lot of us and we love seeing others go through the experience!

Jairo, your comment express exactly how I felt during this video. It's a bible for us, we enjoyed every piece of Born This Way album since 2010's VMAs and the whole BTW journey was till 2012. Was two years of a massive production for us, her public, when music was not like its now, it was made 10 years ago. Its ok if you're listening to this for an hour in 2020's caotic year and express your highs and lows feelings.

This album gave me the courage to come out as gay to my religious family. I finally felt understood, not only by Gaga, but also by many other kids at the time going through the same thing. We started to feel proud of ourselves in an unapologetic way. This album also came out when gay marriage was still illegal. So we felt proud to be rebels (in a way) and stand up for love and equality. We were just a bunch of bad kids challenging the system.

Is one of Gaga's best songs ever and it would be amazing if you catch the meaning of the song! It's also a central pice behind the meaning of ARTPOP. I know we're about to get to the Born This Way videos first, I just wanted to say this already haha ❤️🔥 AMAZING REACTION AS ALWAYS! Please just make sure to be really open minded with ARTPOP! Let yourself flow with the music, open minded to think deeper with the lyrics and you'll find out this album is really fun, clever, and also A BANGER 🔥🔥🔥

@@BOOShawny Exactly, even disliked by some FANS!... I really think ARTPOP is misinterpreted in a lot of ways! Her record label did her dirty with this album, and + the fans and gp where not ready for such album right after "Born This Way". You know... some people say Joanne is Gaga's most personal record, or Chromatica or Born This Way. The truth is that I feel ARTPOP was her first most personal record, but under GAGA'S character perspective. We see this lyrically on AURA, DWUW, GYPSY, G.U.Y, SWINE, etc. And it's also reflected on the music. The chaos, the complexity of Gaga's character. Joanne is really the human side (Stefani's perspective) , Born This Way was about her past and owning her identity (Becoming Herself) , and Chromatica about her actual struggles with love, fame and herself. I gotta say that I love that Chromatica is kind of the perfect balance of Gaga and Stefani's perspectives. I really feel Chromatica is ARTPOP's twin in a way 🔥 Anyway... One thing I know for sure is that ARTPOP is so misunderstood, tricky to comprehend, but beautiful once you get it. And even if no one gets it, it's imposible to deny that musically is a BANGER 🔥🔥🔥🔥 AMEN ARTPOP.

E F it’s the dirty record label for me. It’s hard to like something when the creator Lady Gaga has spoken about all the things that she wanted to do but never was able to because of her record label messing shit up... it sorta makes it feel like a fake album or an incomplete album that wasn’t able to be what it was supposed to be. I still enjoy songs like Venus, Aura, G.U.Y, Mary Jane Holland...

"Why do you like Lady Gaga so much? she's weird af." "What song drew you to her as a stan?" Born This Way was the album that made me a Lady Gaga full-blown stan. This album hits harder if you struggle being a homosexual, that's why you weren't feeling it. THAT'S FOR SURE. I grew up in a conservative environment and had homophobia kind of programmed into me. I've since learned how wrong I was. And as a teenager who's had a hard time dealing with his own identity, this record has shaped me into the confident, self-assured gay man that I am today. Lady Gaga was the ONLY artist who has helped me on my personal process of accepting who I was, and she's the reason I celebrate and embody my truth even from the deepest darkest part of my soul. Having someone as notable as gaga acknowledging your sexuality as valid, sacred, powerful, potentially world changing and that you weren't alone really helped me get through my teenage years and I can't thank her enough for that. This is the Album Of My Life, this album has changed my life forever, Stefani is the artist of my life and that's period. Amen.

It was the beginning of when Gaga started to veer off from commercial pop, but for the gays, this was fucking everything. 😂😂 we all died and then collectively resurrected and showed up at the tour and bought all the merch and drove our parents nuts listening to this album 24/7, and the rest of the world lost interest in her. Everything about this era was stunning. The music, the live show, the outfits, the music videos. It was a religious experience.

The thing I learned very quickly with Lady Gaga's albums like Born This Way, Artpop, and Chromatica is that you cannot fully appreciate what they are doing with one listen. Gaga is more experimental than your typical pop star, and every listen makes you notice different things about the music. You're right this album in particular sounds way better live, but this is my favorite Lady Gaga album and my favorite one to listen to with headphones because the sound takes you somewhere else. It's exactly how I feel when I listen to David Bowie. She plays around so much with the vocal styles, heavy rock elements, and biblical lyrics. I guarantee a few more listens are required to dance to this album in your room, or while doing chores.

Why are y'all saying he disliked the album? Did we watch the same video? He literally said he thinks it's a great album at the end and even liked most of the songs. The critique he had of the album was not that it was bad, but that it's almost entirely hard hitting house and edm songs, which leaves very little breathing room. So, this isn't the type of album most people who listen to casually; it has a very clear live-venue vibe. It makes sense that *fans* would like it for this reason, but most casual listeners WILL get tired of hearing a lot of the same genre and tempo wise. This is also why he said some of the tracks have a hard time standing out.

It was a really rough time because I had no one to talk to and my family was too religious and close minded. But then Born This Way came and Gaga became my best friend. She was the first person to tell me that is ok to be gay, that it wasn't my fault and that I wasn't going to hell because of that. The album and Gaga herself, of course, really helped me that time. I love Gaga since The Fame, but with BTW she really got me. Now I am so much better and loving myself, thank God, and even though I don't listen to Born This Way that much anymore, that is the album that will be always in my heart and mind because it was a mark in my life. I know we have to accept other people's opinions, but BTW is like untochable for all of us, almost sacred, and maybe someone who is straight will never understand this.

I have a Born This Way tattoo on my left arm. This album came out when I was in high school and I was bullied then. And this album helped me survive this time and accept everything about myself, especially my sexuality. Among all GaGa albums this one has the strongest meaning to me and after the Fame (that is very sentimental) it's my favourite album. I'm glad that you noticed one of the most important things when it comes to music on BTW - that it should be listened to live. It's true, but also I love listening to it on my earphones :D well I really respect your opinion on it tho. Much love!

I feel like he’ll like chromatica. The songs may be upbeat, but they don’t have that hard, aggressive, in your face kinda energy like ARTPOP, or Born This Way

The album is coherent. If you listen to this album two or three more times you would be rocking out to every single one individually. They all sound different, just reminiscing to each other. How does Americano sound anything like any other song?? It’s because its first listen. Appreciate you listening though man! Hope you enjoyed. This is my favorite album of all time.

I'm watching this and to be fair, this album is a masterpiece that no one is ready for, let alone able to appreciate well on the first listen. Plus, he wasn't really in the mood for it.

Taylor was so hyped up about this album lol I imagine it's the favorite album for most of the Little Monsters. I've been a fan of Gaga since The Fame, so Born This Way was my third album experience, and man what an experience! It's my favorite album: it's the mix of instruments, the mix of genres, it's the positivy, it's the freedom. It is a very well produced album, it's got pop for the radio and pop for us fans. I was 14 and a boy who needed someone to talk about the freedom I deserved, someone to tell me I was born this way and that's it. I never hype anyone about something I love, music for example, cause at the end of the day it hits everyone differently, but just by the fact that you really enjoyed a few songs it makes me feel good cause after all one more person got to listen to Born This Way 🤘

I see how a lot of first listeners or new fans say most of the songs on born this way sound the same she wanted it to sound like all one big army of songs, electric chapel is my favourite, I’ve listened to this album millions of times, even some of the songs backwards. They all have a different vibe to me, trust once you get into each song you will see the differences

CRY BABY I would read the comments again. They are upset that he doesn’t understand the album because he is “straight”. What does a personal opinion on sound have to do with being gay in order to appreciate it. I mean I’m gay and I don’t go giving everyone a history lesson on Gaga to force someone to like something.

Pure Skillz I mean I guess. He just said he didn’t like the production. But to appreciate it, I personally don’t see how anyone could understand the album unless they’ve been through hard times or like I said, are a minority.

Pure Skillz what it has to do with it being straight is that art is meant for certain audiences. This album was made for the gays and for people who are big Gaga fans. This isn’t a general public album people hated Judas when it came out. People hated Born This Way. Like the amount of fans who love Schibe but the GP don’t know about it, is a clear example. This album was meant for a specific group of people who were going to resonate. Obviously if you haven’t gone through anything the lyrics are signing about you aren’t going to love it as much.

I really apreciate your honesty!!!, we still love u taylor :D and well, this album it's so hardcore, it literally left Lady Gaga on a wheelchair at the end of the tour lol (she broke her hip and had to cancel the last 21 shows). Also, please don't forget to react to the final video of this era, """"FAME (director's cut)""" the Lady Gaga's perfume commercial directed by Steven Klein (same director as Alejandro) it features "Scheibe" and the visuals are amazing!!!!

Every time I feel down or I doubt myself, this album pulls me back on track. Never thought how an album can be my own therapist. This is not just an album for the underdogs but for those who would like to reclaim their identities. The sound, the message, the production connects to a whole new plane within me
