gaga was very inspired by horror media for this album. she stated “i have an obsession with death and sex, those things are also the nexus of horror films” she also spent a lot of time in eastern europe and going to berlin night clubs during the process of it that’s why bad romance for example has some heavy industrial/goth synths, telephone has some 90s euro pop feel to it and dance in the dark is very 80s melancholic pop. every song is indicative of a fear she encountered while traveling the world, bad romance: fear of love alejandro: the fear of men monster: fear of sex speechles: fear of death dance in the dark: fear of judgment telephone: fear of suffocation so happy i could die: fear of alcohol/addiction teeth: fear of truth overall such an iconic record. to think this was only her sophomore album while only being 23 years old is so insane to me.

"I didn't know Gaga can sound like that" Gaga can sound like anything 🤣 She did a performance with Metallica, she has toured a jazz show, her Sound Of Music tribute oh my god. Aanything and she can do it. Also I was just reminded that back in the day, 2010-13 times we used to show her our teeth at shows and put up our 'paws' 🥺 Google images 'lady gaga paws up'. I miss those days. Anyway, can't wait for your to get to Born This Way and ARTPOP!

The next two albums you’re gonna dive in, it’s Lady Gaga at her purest. Born This Way and ARTPOP, get ready

the fame monster was written while touring the world on the fame. the fame monster is comprised of all of her different fears: fear of men, fear of sex, fear of rejection, etc etc etc. so different songs have different inspirations from all over the world. the fame monster is absolutely one of the best pop cultural moments that shaped modern pop culture. i HIGHLY recommend watching the music videos from this era. they created the standard for music videos in the modern day

She is doing several languages in her albums…. She invented even her own faux German in the song „Scheiße“ on born this way „I don’t speak German but I can if you like… „ Born this way is the alb7m I think you will like the most…. It sounds like abba on drugs stuck in Berghain
@GenericoBolio8 ай бұрын
When she says "En su bolsillo" after the line "She hides..." it is clearly intended as a "her pocket" so it's not the formal "su" but the third person posesive(?) "su".
@robbeck86618 ай бұрын
If you react to born this way, make sure it’s the special edition. Other than some albums it’s not some Bonustracks attached at the end, it’s include some of the experimental songs within the tracklist and makes the album a whole Avantgarde Heavy Metal Techno Pop Dance Opera Journey

It's so annoying on streaming platforms sometimes if there are 10 different versions of an album. The platforms should just consolidate them all so it's easier for the listener to hear all the songs.

34:25 things you might not expect: lady gaga likes her country aesthetics. Next album has her best country inspired song “you and i” which mixes country with rock, samples “we will rock you” by queen, and has brian may doing some crazy guitar solos. My favorite gaga song.

Loved your reaction! Really enjoy that you stay open minded, read the lyrics and see through the (albeit amazing) pop music for the connections and themes! TFM is a great extension to The Fame and even though it differs in musical styles a bit, it's a thematically beautifully consistent album.

Hello again! Excited to watch. It's not always easy to listen to genres that aren't your most favourite, but it's awesome that you've been loving the pop classics. Personally, I still struggle to get into the rap / hip-hop that you like, but I do love Tierra Whack. Also, the car model is hilarious.
@tamerail8 ай бұрын
tbh I also don’t know most of the popular rap out there (Eminem, 2pac, 50 Cent, etc.) and started with Kanye and Tyler the Creator. Their beats, funny lines and melodies (especially through samples) are a good starting point for someone who isn’t into rap. Graduation by Ye and Igor by Tyler are probably a good start.

Teeth (or T) in here stands for Truth, as a metaphor for the queer slang “Tea” (truth) as “spill the tea” means to “Tell the truth”. She is basically saying “Don’t want your money, I want your sex, take a bite of my bad girl meat, show me your truth” So she jokes with the the word Theeth and the vampire scenario because in the Fame Monster the theme Horror Story is the center of the narrative. The album is made so she could tell us about all of the darkest sides of her and from the fame, so we can start our relationship as artist and public, our very own “bad romance” wich is the fame. The Fame is a Bad Romance for the artist, but is the way to recieve the love and the recognition for the art it makes.
