Daughter(the band that composed music for this game) became my favourite music band of all time when after completing LIS:BTS I started listening to the soundtrack. I think their music fits perfectly with Chloe's personality and I think it beats the first game in terms of soundtrack even though i thought nothing will ever beat this.

I like how this game begins and you're like "Hell yeah, let's play the badass Chloe and fuck the world !" And by the end, the game reminds you real fast how damaged she is behind her facade. My favorite part about the junkyard scene is something the developers themselves pointed out- we don’t know that the car Chloe finds was actually the one her dad died in, but it doesn’t matter, because in that moment it is to Chloe. I love this game so much since I played it when I was Chloe’s age. It does a great job of putting you in the teenage mindset; not everything has to actually be out to get you for it to feel that way. Also let me say how glad I am that you’re playing the original and not the remaster!!! it’s just classic. looking forward to the rest of the series

When Chloe is smashing stuff in the junkyard - the camera always gets me. Everything she smashes that reminds her of something: Mannequin - F*ck off, Rachel Toolbox - F*ck you, David Camera - F*ck cameras As sad and angry and hurt as she is, she still can't bring herself to curse Max, so it's just "f*ck cameras." She's infatuated with Rachel, but she is already totally in love with Max. She just hasn't realized it yet.

@@Ladco77 I don’t think she was in love with Max, she just loves her too much because they were best friends from CHILDHOOD (put yourself in that situation and reflect). She’s blindly in love with Rachel, she was her first crush and love. Later on in life she may develop romantic feelings for Max and stay with her if you choose so.

You skipped the 2nd page of choices. You'd have seen some of the things you missed (like talking with Skip and listening to his cool demo for his band) You also didn't look at the bios as they popped up. Glad you played the DnD game with Steph! (And Steph is AWESOME!) That moment of the music building up and Rachel screaming her frikkin' heart out always gets me. It is so incredibly emotional.

Don't forget that each review screen with your choices has a "next" button at the bottom right side to see more choices! Like the choice of "Did you leave money in Joyce's purse" And I was in tears the moment the menu screen started. Hell yeah finally Before the Storm!!! I’m soooo excited for this Playthrough. Edit: This might be a hot take??… I honestly think the soundtrack for LiS: Before the Storm is better than the main game. Edit 2: So sadly because this was happening during the strike all the actors from the main game had to be replaced with soundalikes. But this is where Nick Apostilides he plays Frank in BtS (Leon Kennedy RE2R and RE4R) got his break into the industry and what led to him being cast as Leon.

So glad you mentioned about the soundtrack in the beginning. So the song that was playing at the Firewalk show, that one is called "Are You Ready For Me?" by Pretty Vicious, a really cool Welsh Punk band, which reminds me a lot of The Hives and a little Arctic Monkeys... Tho i do hear a tad bit of the Kasabian sound too. The second song playing in Chloe's room is called "No Below" by Speedy Ortiz. It's really cool how they really brought out the Indie and Punk aesthetics to fit Chloe's personality, also i died when you said to the skeevy douchebag "fuck off Travis shit Barker!" hahaha!

Hey Emma I don't know if you need to hear this...I have this nagging sense that you are worried or anxious about being "boring" when you're reading through long journal entries. I know in the first game you felt at first like it was a lot to go through in one big chunk. First of all it's not like that for me personally and I'd venture a guess that it's not like that for the vast majority of people watching. But if that doesn't help here's some hopefully positive, specific feedback: I liked it when you interjected with your own thoughts here and there to break up the reading of passages. Even small comments like "she's got a way with words, hasn't she?" at 8:41 helps keep the feel of a let's play rather than an audio book. Anything that comes to mind is going to be something we'd probably enjoy hearing as the audience... if it reminds you of something from the first game, if it makes you wonder what's happening with a certain character in this part of the timeline (prequel), just any little comments that are your own. Again I don't know if you're bothered by it at all, but just in case, I thought I'd throw that out there in case it may be helpful. Enjoy the rest of the LP, I'll be watching!

Might be my fav playthru so far. I love so much how Emma went from "you horny bastards" when discussing Max kissing Chloe to full on falling in love with Rachel Amber. I get it. Same. I don't know how it feels for women who are realizing that they are attracted to women for the first time, but I will die on the hill that they nailed the feeling of the bad boy/girl vs the impressionable and malleable teen edit: the emotions and pain of 2:04:00. ouch. I agree, but what is to you that makes it the most sad? Like I find LIS2 to be lowkey devastating, and not in the sense that it's a tear jerker, but in that it makes you feel emotionally drained. The problem is that you have to be tuned in. A lot of people tend to reject, avoid, or cope because it's an inconvenient tale that doesn't care about your values or sense of entertainment.

not forcing you to do it, but if you want the full chloe experience and dialogue, always do a Backtalk challenge. And just remember that the mini-game is a a word association challenge which is something a lot of playthroughs can't figure out.

This is the PS5 version, right? I replayed the remastered version a few months ago and my subtitles were consistently stopping early. The glitch the cracked me up was in the outro when Joyce brought a beer out to David working on his car out in the street. There was a copy of David's car in the driveway.

I really enjoy your playthrough, but I've noticed that in many areas where you can freely explore, you tend to miss about 90% of the content. It’s a bit unfortunate, though it was somewhat similar in the first game, so I’ve gotten used to it by now. Still, it’s a shame because there’s so much more to discover. For example, in Chloe's room and the outside area before the school where you played D&D, there were so many more people to talk to and a lot more to explore. These aren't just small details either-there are actual conversations and dialogues that can affect and change situations in later episodes. There's a ton of side content in the game, but just like in the first game, you ended up missing most of it, which is unfortunate.
