Poor Josh! Besides being devastatingly handsome he also has a voice that requires him to carry around an ugly stick to beat back the women whenever he talks or sings. Josh's is a baritone voice Britt. He and Randy Travis do an absolutely killer version of this song live, and it's here on KZbin somewhere. They sound like two oak barrels singing that part that makes you realize you are a female ... 🤣😂👀🎸😉💖💖💖

Josh talked about his ability to sleep deep in an interview. At point one of his vocal chords was damaged. In 1996, Turner developed a lesion on his right vocal cord. The doctors had him rest his voice for a year and learn better control for healthier singing. He said the entire ordeal was a blessing in disguise as after his voice had recovered he could sing much lower and cleaner than he had been able to before the damage to his vocal chords. (if you watch his videos the woman you see in them all is his wife)

I think that I was 15 when I knew I could hit that note. I started doing the song “Folsom Prison Blues” by Johnny Cash, and had to hit that note at the end of each verse. Then a couple years later, when this song came out, I started doing it in contests. And now, I can go even lower. But yes, I’d say I was about 15.
