The most awesome thing is currently his album sick Boi coming out October 13th just passed the rolling stones to rank number 1 on the most pre ordered list. As a completely independent artist he has a real chance to debut with a number 1 album! That would be awesome with everything he has dealt with

Could you please give me the address were I can keep track of Ren's pre-order listings to see where he ranks. I pre-ordered a CD from his site (Renlovesmusic) because I'm not registered for the I-tunes stuff or that digital stuff, I hope that still goes toward the total numbers. I actually have every CD he put out, I love this artist and have since I saw him 2 yrs ago with The Big Push. I could not believe he was the lead singer when I saw him in "Hi Ren". I was blown away and love this guy. He is the same age as my oldest daughter and I feel a maternal instinct towards him and want to keep him safe and give him a hug.

Top reaction Britt, you're right, he's a proper bard, first and foremost, words simply flow. I love how many of his songs lull you one way only to take a sharp turn in another direction, this one with it's almost whimsy start, right up to the "that's gorgeous music" as you quaintly put it. This is one of his best IMO and shout out to the person that does his lyric videos, proper talented!

This music is way out of my comfort zone of Prog rock and metal! I'm English and getting on in years, I've never heard of Ren before. I really did enjoy his style and emotional lyrics. The way you broke everything down and analysed it was very well done. Thank you for introducing me to something different.

Fantastic reaction as always! Just for a little bit context.... In his 1 million-subscriber thank you speech, (I highly recommend that you watch/react to it). I may be paraphrasing slightly, but Ren advised those “feeling hate against their fellow man”, to feel that hate/pain, express it, then let it go and find new peace. Seems like he is taking his own advice in Masochist and Lost All Faith. He wrote them during his darkest times, then took that pain, disillusion, desperation, depression and frustration and expressed it in songs about killing the whole world and losing his faith with everything. He created art. I’m in awe.🤯

I don’t know if you have watched his video when he hit 1M subscribers on KZbin but if not, please watch it. It explains so much about Ren and the human being that he is . And having passed the Stones on preorder AND debuting the album Sick Boi at #1 on the UK charts speaks to how many people he has touched and have felt see and heard simply by listening to his artistry.

most of these songs where written a few years ago while he felt hopeless and no one can give him answers. His ability to express his pain is helping others to be willing to open up and get help as it helps reduce the stigma of mental health. Its sad to see someone who has to go through all of this but his courage to come out and expose the issue and help others is a very beautiful thing

Britt, keep in mind for the future, you can talk into a mic from literally anywhere on the Globe. If you want to go to England, i recommend it. I'll be so educational for your kids to go to school in another country and its still english so theyll catch on and get little english accents. Its so cute. I was stationed there with my husband and kids for 18 months. Summer in Midlands England, can't beat it. 80° not much humidity, slight breeze. But make sure you have bought several fans cause theres no a/c. Anyway, when our time was up, we honest to god tried everything in our power to stay there but we couldn't make it work. I can tell you where the joint american bases are so youll be around lots of ex-pats and locals alike.

What intrigues me the most about Ren right now is the religious imagery. While he's battling with his doubts, he's walking the way of Christ. Just think about it for a second. Accept your personal cross - carry it all the way with grace - transform your cross into something meaningful. He's certainly still struggling with acceptance, but he carries himself exemplary and inspiring while transforming his suffering into that beautiful music that actually HEALS his listeners. This gives him purpose through responsibility, which is the best way to deal with hardship. Too many people focus on pleasure to cope with their life. But you're just one tragedy away from feeling very unpleasant. How do you cope then? Meaning and purpose keep you going and your example gives others strength.
