One Piece is written and drawn by one author/artist of a manga called a mangaka. He alone does the whole 1000+ chapter story. One Piece worldvuilding wise and plot wise is truly incredible. You guys have to watch this show and catch up with us. I started catching up in October and I'm 100 or so episodes from being caught up.

The whole main plot of one piece is stolen from mysterious cities of gold. A boy with sun powers (Nika) named Esteban needs to find 4 pieces of a map (road poneglyphs) to find the city of gold (laugh tale) and only his black haired girlfriend whos tribe was erased can read it (robin and ohara). the tribe was destroyed with ancient weapons by aliens (moon people) with a warship (Pluton) and a Spaceship (Uranus). The Aliens want the Great Treasure a battery (One Piece). The One Piece will be a solar or fusion reactor.

The most amazing part of One Piece is that despite all the completely ridiculous people, paces, and things in it's world, it somehow all makes sense within the one piece world. See a guy on a bike in the middle of the ocean? There's an explanation for that. See some dude Waring an outfit that makes him look like a baby, the reason will make you cry. It's a crazy world that is so chock full of stuff that it will foreshadow things that will happen literally 600 episodes later.

I have a feeling like one of the biggest reasons to why the world of one piece is so amazing is because the creator, Oda, got education of an architect Literally, the way he visualises locations is so amazing! Most of the times in manga main artists are the best at drawing their characters, some better at aesthetics, some at dynamics and movements, but something I always noticed in one piece was the locations… Oda is so good at creating the full picture, there are no limits to his imagination and that is the reason why he’s my biggest inspiration

@7thlittleleopard7

As to crew members - collecting a crew that allows you to travel without worry is certainly something that would be good to do and thankfully, that is something that does happen. Sometimes it's a case of knowing what you need and finding them to join, but other times it's a case of meeting up with an issue (say, someone getting sick) and realising "Gee, having a ship doctor would be a good idea, let's find one!" So yeah, crew collection is definitely _a thing_ . 1080 chapters as of this past week. I highly recommend reading the manga as you get a lot of extra material that isn't shown in the anime - cover stories, colour spreads (some you may recognise from the openings, like the one where they were playing with legos) and SBS (a small section where Oda answers fans questions.)

One piece has one the best story in fiction. It is the 2nd most selling comics of all time recently surpassing Spiderman and Batman and soon will surpass superman to become most selling comics of all time. It's manga(Japanese comics) sold more than 515+ million copies. Everything in one piece have importance for main story and every character is necessary. The foreshadowing in is God level. Something told in 1st ep which may feel insignificant becomes very important 1000+ eps later. The world building, characters and story is one the best in all of fiction

The world of One Piece is around the size of Jupiter and extends to the sky. In the form of sky islands. Each individual island is supposed to be the size of a country to an entire continent each. Almost every island in the New World has a different theme. The first Sky Island was shown during Skypeia Arc like 2003. Going deep into the lore you would start to understand the words it says at the end. The elephant has an country on its back and was a Probable God's Best Friend, it is named Zunesha and the country it holds is called Zou or Zoufu.

One piece surprisingly not random every little thing connecting with each other, Oda will tease you with information and after 300 episodes you will make sense of it. Devil fruits, in fact, are a double-edged sword because the world of One Piece has more water than our world, and there is not much land, but it contains many islands separated from each other, so sailing is difficult for Devil Fruit users, so many pirates sell Devil Fruits instead of eating them Fun fact oda actually designed some of the antagonist pirates from real pirates I hope you guys will watch one piece & if you guys not sure I recommend to you to watch "the appeal of one piece, where to start "

One Piece is an amazing series. I've been lucky to have been following it for 15 years. It's daunting, sure, but it's worth it. If seeing this and the opening doesn't show you that it can be a hell of a ride. And even if it's not your first dip into this genre or animation style, it's certainly one that you should consider picking up. It's a good story, it will make you feel emotions. One Piece has been in production for a long time. 26 years, but Oda, the man behind it all, has been dreaming about this story for a much longer time. Make no mistake he's put a lot of thought into it. Read or Watch it. It's a worthy adventure to take on. I would say if you want to jump in to the deep end quickly then backtrack I would recommend getting a primer from a Booktuber like Daniel Greene or Murphy Napier, they're both wonderful and have excellent blind readings of each major arc. There is something to be said about going from Chapter 1 to current, but any Saga-Start is fine if you don't mind getting some primers.

Oda took inspiration from lots of existing places and myths. There is a city that takes inspiration from Venice, others look straight out of Spain, France, Egypt, and cultures/ people like Mayan, bedouins, giants, zombies, Sky people and much more! Myths from Japanese traditions, Norse and Greek mythology, ghost ships, fairy tales…there’s something for everyone! And it’s all so so well cohesive and connected, with foreshadowing that spans from 100 to over 700 episodes down the line…it’s INSANE! The character building is something I have never seen anywhere else, with main or side characters being hated at first but then loved and the opposite is also true! There is no black and white, lots of shades of grey. You may hate a character but come to know his backstory and almost feel sorry for him/her! And you get to know the main characters to a deep deep level, to the point they become almost tangible people and you start considering them as your friends. It is over 1000 episodes for a reason, you cannot build this world with its many connections in 100 episodes. The manga is still going. We are at chapter 1103 and some of the mysteries are just starting to unfold. There is a huge community which still comes up with wild theories about many of the core knowledge which is expertly spread and distilled throughout the story, one of which is “what is the one piece”. Start watching the anime, it can drag a bit at times and the first animation is not the quality we are used to now as it started in 1997, but the journey is well worth it, full of politics, treasons, adventure, with the main subject being justice, friendship and never give up on your dreams. You will love it!

one piece (the manga) is made by one artist/author, Eichiro Oda. he only gets help from his editors to fill in some unimportant backgrounds, but he draws and designs every architecture and character with his own hands. he came up with all the world building and story telling himself and has been planning the story since he was very young. the anime adaptation is done by Toei. fun fact: almost every one of those islands you saw in the video has been stretched out in terms of maps and history in lengths. whatever you dont learn about these islands while watching, you learn once you go to the wiki page, where there are paragraphs of details. from the rooted history to the types of civilians living there, their cultures, as well as conflicts and more. and every inch of the main islands have been planned out, and you could draw it all on a map accurately after watching through it. Oda is very skilled at making his world feel tangible. not to mention his characters are one of the most well developed I've ever seen, and his backstories are just the best. the plot is masterful. it might take a while getting into for a lot of people, but eventually its impossible to stop watching. everything connects and is often forshadowed by easter eggs from previous moments. Oda is a writing genius, which you will see as you continue with the show. anyway, one piece is an unforgetable watch, so I'm excited for the reactions. english isn't my first language, so I hope this was intelligible.

We are close to the final boss with his big black mustache (his fake death was a good plot twist), and we are all greedy for that gold, it’s almost 25 years that I’ve waited for the main character to be rich and we are about to flex beybeeeee!

The colors come from the manga. The author colors in his manga as a special release.

I strongly recommend starting one piece, wait till episode 37 and if you didn't feel anything to that point you can drop it. And PLEASE try avoid any spoilers if you can it's very important.

Oda does take inspire from real world stuff like Water7 is a it bit like Venice Italy some these was in movies too which there is 15 movies all together. What you asking does answer them and also you might have questions about a thing but epoxides later it will come back into later on.

So many questions that need answers. I'll give you at least one of them. A pirate crew consist of the following in One Piece. 1. Or course a captain 2. Navigator 3. Cook 4. Sniper/ Sharpshooter 5. Shipwright 6. Helmsman 7. Musician ( which could be optional but without then WHERE'S THE FUN? 🤣 ) 8. Somebody who studies history like an archeologist It usually depends on how many people you want to have in your particular pirate crew.......But left out something important....You have to have a reliable crew and a steadfast first mate.

The manga is closing in on its finale, few years left still though. We're in the "Final Saga", so a grouping of arcs which are between like 50 chapters and umm a fuckton of them. each episode has been on average .75 chapters so manga to anime draws it out by about 25%. so if the manga wraps up in say 2025/6 the anime could possibly go on for another 2+ years after that. which at that point will kinda suck for anime only people since the spoilers on the whole end of the series will be out. Like how the spoilers for current arc dropped last year and now everyone's just waiting on that to occur in the anime.
