Henk also has an awesome sense of humor. By the time this show was over, the others saw him as a favorite uncle, the coolest uncle ever. He's SO funny! Henk has been in the industry long enough that he has a perspective that nobody else has. He appeared on stage along with his mother when he was sixteen years old and then went with other roles; in this setting, he was sixty-three years old. That's almost forty years in the industry by the time he sang this! One of his favorite sayings is 'Good music is good music', when he was talking about differences between genres and people hating on other peoples' genre for no good reason at all. He's SO Open-Minded, you can't help but love the guy! He has done many things in his career, on stage in plays, musicals and even actual Opera (he is a Baritone). And after this performance he has something else ticked off of his bucket list; he sang as a Metal Vocalist for the first time in his whole life. He had NEVER used rasp in his voice before this because that is a BIG NO-NO in the Opera world; as he said it 'You may as well pack up your bags and go home'. He did the raspy voice here specifically because he was remaining true to the Metal version of the song, because he was singing it to honor Floor for her night on the middle couch. :)

Emma Heesters sang a song to Floor called “Strong.” It is a song Floor wrote for her mom and Emma’s performance of it was so beautiful it brought Floor to tears. I think you’ll enjoy it.

@@randymarple9830 Yeah, seeing Floor cry really hurts me and I tear up when I see it (this song or any other time). She cried because she hurts for her mother, which is why Floor wrote the song in the first place. She has only rarely performed the song in public because she can't finish singing it without crying (totally understandable). Emma did GREAT with it!

Henk sang this for Floor and as you could see, she was loving every second of it. And yes, this show is an amazing rabbit hole to go down in, not just this season but also many other seasons. I am sure you're going to get plenty of request for songs from the duets night of this season, and i happily support all those suggestions. But i think a fun one for you to check out soon if "Hotel California" by Rolf Sanchez, he's normally a Reggaeton/Salsa/Latin singer and gave the song his own Latin twist, you'll love it ;)

I really preferred the first portion of his performance before he started the "disturbed" impersonation with the gravely voice. His "natural" voice is absolutely stunning and I would have like to hear the entire song expressed using that amazing voice.

For something also a bit different, check out the Band The Hu and the song Wolf Totem. They mix traditional Mongolian instruments and vocals with a heavy metal style. The song is in Mongolian, but if you turn on caption you can get a translation of the words.

This is a way way better version than ... Disturbed. Hank Poort has that deep manly voice and also an operatic flavor to his vocals !!!!. If you really listen to the Disturbed version..his voice kinda shewers at times. But this is an genuine cover version !! 👍🤟. You should react to the original song by Simon and Garfunkel !!!!!!!. 👍. The 2 versions you've listed to are amazing. Now that you've heard them, you should listen to the original by Simon and Garfunkel. It is different, but they are the ones who wrote it and inspired others to cover they're song. Definitely check it out. I will never say one version is better than the other. They are all masterpieces.

Respect to Poort, obviously a great singer, but but for me David Draiman owns this songs now. One thing about this performance, Poort's very prominent vibrato is often out of sync with the tempo. It's a bit annoying. 😁
