The whole "Bird of Hermes" is a metaphor. Basically when Van Hellsing defeated Dracula all those years ago, he KNEW, that he would die some day. It's not a nickname. It's a name he adopted after his father. His father was Vlad the 2nd and adopted the last name of Dracul, meaning Order of the Dragon. Vlad the 3rd would go to adopt the name Dracula, meaning Son of the Dragon. He was also a devout Protestant and hated the Ottoman empire for taking his territory and slaughtering his people. This lead to a famous meeting where he invited several high ranking officials of the Ottoman empire to his castle. He was supposed to surrender Wallachia over completely since the territory was occupied but there was resistance against the empire. He had them sit and eat and as soon as they got comfortable his soldiers snuck up behind them and impaled them all on spears and posts. He let a messenger live to go tell the empire then famously took some bread, dipped it in a bucket of his enemies' blood and then ate it.

The vampires like Alucard and Seras always intrigue me. They stand out from all the normal vampire series and movies. Their is thought put into their personalities, abilities and limits. Alucard has none and never will. He is just tired of living cause he isn’t challenged anymore. No one can ever beat him. What I feel like he meant about no monster can beat me, only a human isn’t cause a monster cannot. It’s just he won’t let a monster kill him. Feel like he is living with guilt and suffers the pain of his victims since their souls live within him. Why Schrodinger got to him good. Those memories on repeat and them fighting for control proves it. Humanity killing him for wiping out billions of humans over the years he could finally die and be at peace, knowing justice was served. Anderson had it in him, but became a monster. But if a Belmont was in this storyline it would be interesting to see what would happen. But my theory why he turned Seras was because if he got out of control and couldn’t stop himself,she could kill him. He serves Integra only cause he is bored and does it on free will. And if Walter wasn’t so old and in his prime and not dying. He would have been the one he chose to kill him in a fun fight

Alucard's defining characteristic is his respect for humanity. This is why Schrodinger was his weakness as well - since Schrodinger's power depends on him being fully aware of himself as an individual, and when that was lost in the ocean of souls in Alucard, Alucard himself became lost in the paradox created by the uncertainty, both alive and dead at the same time, causing him to blip out of existence. Humans, on the other hand, continue to always surprise him. Humans will face whatever challenges life throws at them head on, over and over, defying all odds to get what they desire - the most powerful display of willpower and self affirmation one can imagine. No matter what he throws at them, humans will overcome the odds, beating down endless hordes of ghouls to save a friend or walking into the jaws of death itself with their head held high, and Alucard is both fascinated by this and envies it - the one thing he could never obtain, the courage to face death head on for what he believes in. So he seeks out people like that, reveling in watching them beat down any challenge he can throw at them, again and again, looking for a human courageous and willful enough to put an end to his long years of misery.

Alucard is King Vlad III "The Impaler" ruler of the Kingdom of Wallachia and is Dracula. That's not even the full scene. There's more. The whole scene is pure nightmare fuel. I've seen some pretty fucked up shit. Blood, guts, brains, torture, and none of that bugged me. But Alucard's army of the dead made me sick to my stomach. So it must be fucked up, cuz not only have I seen some fucked up shit, I've WRITTEN some fucked up shit. I write Splatterpunk, which is intense gore. I've written my own torture scene. I wrote something so graphic is was taken down off of my writing page and my friend who wanted to read it couldn't finish it because it made THEM sick to their stomachs. So when something makes a girl who excels at making people sick to their stomach makes HER nauseous, you know it's bad. Of course, the fact that there was so much gore that the writers put a funny scene after everything for comedic relief so you didn't go insane watching all the fucked up shit didn't help my case. I plowed through that anime. Seven and a half episodes in one night. But by the middle of the eighth, I was so nauseous I had to stop and go to bed. Hellsing Ultimate is a horrifying anime. I do suggest watching all of it (=^w^=)

However, Anderson really isn't an Italian name, is it? In fact, it's origin is greek (like Alexander) and it's spread mostly throughout England and Scotland (In fact it's the 8th most common last name in Scotland. Every Scot probably at least knows one Anderson) and is also commonly spread throughout the more Nordic countries (so Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Scandinavia etc) So Scottish makes sense, at least way fucking more than Italian. The only thing he got in common with Italy is the Vatican (which is basically its own state) and when you start to consider that Iscariot's elite has not a single Italian guy in it.... well.... Let's just say there are at least 20 countries that'd make more sense than him being Italian. So giving him a Scottish voice... absolutely fine.

the english dub for ultimate slaps and idc what any one says. when a dubs using all the different dialects of people from different regions its a good dub. i dont get what the fascination with the abridged series is. it realistically just makes a jokes out of a very good story. not that i hate abridged series i just find so many people whove never watched hellsing ultimate not abridged.
