Halal guys went down big time where I live, you need to try Naz Halal, it's like night and day! Their hot sauce is no joke though

This place was nice when it 1st opened. Now Chipotle style cheap portions

Chipotle blows this out of the water flavor-wise

@@PapiEats really? I've always found chipotle kinda bland and always cold

Halal guys is amazing out of the OG food cart it started as in NYC it’s been commercialized hence quality is dropping better off hitting a no name halal food cart
@randymathews3348Ай бұрын
@@PapiEats I know you love Chipotle as much as white girls love pumpkin spice 🤣. I'm prolly just spoiled w so many great restaurants around. You ever make any plans to come up here? Think you were thinking about when you were on your cheesesteak search
@tentacle0Ай бұрын
the sauce definitely makes it for me. i would go and get extra white sauce and just stir my bowl into practically a soup. probably ended up being 2000 calories or something but it was good. i do think they've sacrificed quality big time as they expanded though.

What are your thoughts on the just raw green peppers and onions thrown in there? That looked really good, but the raw vegetables throws me off. I would’ve liked a little caramelization on it. Can they not do that for Halal?

$15? Is it a brick and mortar? Cuz platters are $8-10 at the carts here in Philly
@benderbot248Ай бұрын
Halal guys is okay but local places(if you can find one) are typically far better, from my experience.
@TheGoodLife500Ай бұрын
Agreed. There’s a lot of food carts in NYC that sell Halal food and it’s a lot better in terms of quality and flavor. It’s also $7 for a platter instead of $15 from Halal Guys.

Isn't the location of is where Queen Park 6 multi-cinema used to be? I remember that area as a kid. It sad so many stuff back then are gone.

That I couldn’t tell ya. It’s on South in the new “Platform” building.

Dude, you gotta mix alllll that up. The magic happens when everything gets mixed in with both of the sauces!
@PapiEatsАй бұрын
Haha trust me I dumped the second pack on and mixed it all up. Helps but I probably won’t be going back.

I don't think we have them here, but we have 2 pretty good Gyro places-Oakland Gyros and The Gyro Palace that has similar items. That hot sauce sounds like a no-go for me.
@TheGoodLife500Ай бұрын
Papi, what’s goin’ on, brodie?! Maaan, I love me some good Halal food, but here in NYC, you can get them from any of the street carts and they’re a lot cheaper than $15….almost half the price, quite honestly. But yeah, the white sauce is decent, but that hot sauce is no joke, it’s very potent. If I get it at all, I’ll only ask for a line of it on my plate, no more than that. The lamb was a good choice tho, it’s usually good mixed with the chicken as a half and half option.

The presentation here isn’t great. It looks like they just threw some dry stuff in a container. The sauce seems to save it at least.
