Carnivore is not as expensive at people think. We get all our meat from Costco and process it at home. The greatest thing about Carnivore is the simplicity. Get ready to feel the best you ever had in your life.

Add salt, especially the first couple of weeks. The initial diuretic effect can flush electrolytes/sodium out. Extra salt helps with any low energy.

Happy to hear more people are having good results! I had life changing results as well. To give people a perspective on how much fat you migh thave to eat. My family (Me, Wife and 2year old son) eat about 50punds of butter a year since we started this about 5 years ago. Grant is spot on with the "fatfatfatfatfatfat" I agree with the reccomendations. I tell all my clients with autoimmune disease, that they REALLY should try just 2 weeks. The few who believed me of course had great results and kept going-

I started the carnovire diet Dec1 and figured if i cant make it thru the holidays then the plan wont work anyway, So I just read about it for November and jumped in December1st going strict carnoviore, I am 65 years old and have tried at least 40 different diets thru the years ,some with more success then others , One thing I did do was prepare Bacon, sausage patties and links to have at all times, After the 1st week I was really just trying to figure out my eating routine, like do I need 3 meals a day or 2 or 1. I also found out I need to see how many eggs were fine to get me to dinner, I tried 2,3,4,even 6 eggs for breakfast and found 3 to be plenty for me , plus 3 strips of Bacon and 2 sausage patties or sausage links, Then I was good until dinner ,where I may have a 8 ounce lean strip steak, a chicken breast or a couple center cut pork chops, For drinks generally it was a couple cups of black coffee in the morning and I made my own electrolyte drink for during the daytime for a fraction of what Lmnt or other mixes cost. Week 1 went smooth and no real sugar or carb cravings, week 2 thru 4 was similar , I found if i did get cravings ,just have a few slices of Bacon or pork sausage with a electrolyte drink and I was good , Once I hit jan1, I decided to keep going because it wasnt as hard as what I expected , Now I am going to keep going for the 3 month mark which is my next goal and see how I feel, What I do know, is I had severe allergies for my entire life, I would get shots weekly and take medications daily, My Blood pressure was around 150,s over 90 and i had LPS and Gerd according to my doctor ,after years of antiobitics and treatements they couldnt ever get rid of it so I was just living with it. Now after just 6 weeks of the Carnovire plan, All my allergies have practically went away, I am no longer getting injections or taking medication for my condition, My LPS and Gerd have went from barely tolerable to probably 90 percent completly gone . I have very little back and joint pan now and I can hardly believe the change so far. I check my weight and Blood pressure and I have dropped 15 pounds in 6 weeks, my blood pressure has been dropping and over the last week , Now I am maintaining 120/70 daily which is better then I have had in over 30 years. So for me the changes have been amazing and almost to good to be true, but if this is the solution to my heal issues that doctors have been medicating me for for 40 years with no success , All I can say is this is Amazing, This will save me thousands in medical bills and I feel the food bill is much cheaper then my old way of eating , I hope others have the same type of results I am having and I just cant wait to see how I feel after 3 months, This will definately be my forever lifestyle now

Hi Grant, quick question, I have CHF (Congestive Heart Failure), and of course, it's all due to high blood pressure, and I'm needing to take high blood pressure medicine and a Men's Multi-Vitamin (Centrum - 1x a day). Is that detrimental to the Carnivore Diet? Thanks.

I'm kind of sort of in one of those camps. I am not morbidly obese, however, I am slightly overweight. I'm skinny except for my belly I have fatty liver and a recent blood test showed markers for Crohn's disease even though I have no physical symptoms other than some IBS usually driven by anxiety AND I am just starting a weight training regimen. I am 38 years old and this is the first time I have ever weight trained consistently and on a program (athleanx basix) AND just started carnivore a few days ago. Also blood tests showed low normal testosterone, which I'm pretty sure I've always had, my parents knew very little of nutrition and everything they cooked came out of a box or can, and we did not spend money on good meat or other proteins. From what I understand from reading a lot of other channels and Reddit forums etc is that you can indeed still build muscle while eating carnivore I guess my question is, is do I need to wait to start carnivore absolutely or is just going to be slightly more taxing? 2:51

@iconoclastic23
@iconoclastic23 24 күн бұрын
@@mrrizz0I believe I know what was happening. Eating carbs and sugars will spike your insulin, and the presence of high insulin tells your kidneys to hold on to salt. Since the standard American diet is full of not just carbs and sugars, but also sodium because it makes food more addictive, most people never feel what being low salt/electrolyte deficient feels like. But the only macros you get on the carnivore diet are protein and fat, which mean your blood glucose and insulin levels tend to stay near baseline levels, and in that metabolic environment your kidneys will let that salt pass through your system. You also said you were working out at the time, which will rapidly deplete your electrolytes especially since you lose a ton of salt through your sweat. I'm sorry to hear that you quit the diet, but I really think the issue could have been resolved by a couple pinches of salt on your tongue or a bit more salt with the meat you were eating. Good luck

Is coffee allowed on carnivore?
@livingatlarge
@livingatlarge 5 ай бұрын
It depends on how strict/clean you want to be. A lot of carnivores still drink coffee, while others stopped as it holds them back. Dr. Anthony Chaffee have mentioned it a couple of times on KZbin that if he drinks coffee in between working out then he would get stiff and sore. Personally I have not experienced it.

I'm not 100% carnivore but I mainly eat meat and veggies. skip the bread, rice, potatoes, processed foods then you're good. Eliminating Veggies is a huge mistake imo. There are good and bad carbs not all carbs are bad. Even Arnold Schwarzenegger dont follow any diet trends, just do what fits your body.

Vegetables are a no go for me, they cause bloating and inflammation immediately. I have autoimmune issues, mostly Crohn’s and getting rid of veggies was key. If you’re fortunate to be able to eat them without problems, that’s awesome, but that would be keto, not carnivore.
@brianhopkins5251

I've been on keto for a long time. (which is similar but not the same) When you first start Keto flu is a thing. and I bet it's why you were so tired the first few days. You peed everything out and it throws your salt balance off. The usual cue is to drink some chicken broth and you'll feel instantly better. never ever trust a keto fart. (probably true on carnivore too) I found it's actually much cheaper in the long run to eat low carb because you're not eating and buying all the processed foods and junk. (keto: meat, cheese, green leafy veggies.................carnivore: meat) Kerrygold butter is worth EVERY PENNY.
