Unless and until this government insist on cleanliness and infrastructure developments, India never ranks in any best country list, good country list, clean country list or beautiful country list. Indian government never bothered to clean rivers across the nation, rather watching it getting polluted. We don't have any strict laws to protect hygiene environment, Indian cine industry carry their cameras to Europe and America to shoot the film scenes or songs since all other countries looks beautiful except India, Indians fly abroad to lead a better life,since we don't have a infrastructure and hygiene like western counter parts. I live at Begusarai, Bihar India. I am sad to hear that my hometowns air is so much polluted in the city rankings of the world because here is a major industry located in the district state of Bihar. It is known as industrial hub of the state of Bihar. One oil refinery and two thermal power corporation in the city. A large chunk of this city covered by rapid urbanization to migrate people in Village to city to access best life, health and education. In the city greenery is so minute covered in the district.

From a place in India which actually has good air because of frequent rain, and having just gone to on trip to other parts of India, it was very apparent the understanding a recent IIT study of source of the pollution- the second main problem in Indian cities being particulate matter from road dust. The smog growing parallel to the increase in road network supports the same. Especially because we never bother to wash off road dust once in a while, don't strictly enforce any kind of particulate control measure during construction and neither do we give two hoots about urdan landscaping or the absolute necessity of both broadleaved shade trees or groundcover to prevent dust from getting swept up. There is non stop work for an elevated highway happening in my city and from the trees that got cut down, to the refusal to take space for trees on median, to the heat and dust settling in the remaining trees also cause them to dry and die off....is just unbearably horrendous and ungodly. I absolutely lothe and hate everyone involved, in this cost cutting sh*t show..

The only pollution free countries in South Asia are Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Maldives. All others have enormous pollution sometimes even affecting those unpolluted countries when the toxic clouds from India or Pakistan travel far and hovers above these unpolluted countries. Once there was a chill and heavy fog in Colombo, Sri Lanka which was said to be coming from India..
