I can't get over the amount of food you prepared. Here in America, that would have 2 meals not all served in one meal. You had 3 proteins ham, oysters & shrimp. And 3 carbs with potatoes, macaroni & bread.

How you made your sauce after frying the onions is called a béchamel, if you swap the milk for stock and make it the same way it’s called a volute .

Hi Linna, thank you for the lovely video. You're a fabulous cook! Lucky family! One of my sons said that I was always in the kitchen and I take that as a compliment😊 We're having beautiful weather on the mountain. I have onions planted and all the flower bulbs are coming up. Can't wait for shopping compilation!! Yay!! Karen Yarnell, AZ USA

A 🦀 that size needs a BIG POT or 2 pots if you don't have a big 1, separate the legs from the body cover in water & no salt needed. 🦀 are salty enough as it is. Boil it for an 45 minutes, use scissors to snip thru the softer sided shell, also delicious dipped in melted butter 😊. You can save & freeze the 🦀 water to use as ready-made stock broth or just dump it. Don't eat the green part that's its waste product.

That fish market is a dream. So many types of seafood. We do the same in Louisiana, keep the heads and shells of seafood, especially crab, to make broth.

In the uk I’ve started using too good to go, the local supermarkets and food stores sell a bag or box of random groceries that are near the sell by date at a discount. I recently paid 1250 yen for 5750 yen’s worth of food, £6.60 for £30. 00 worth in uk money. I had salmon , mussels, veg, salad, bread all sorts, it’s good if you don’t meal plan 😊 Random every time 😊

The first things I did when I got home was go straight to the supermarket and do a big shopping, don’t ever do it tired as I bought mainly convenience food eek! I don’t think brain has engaged back to Japanese cuisine yet. The kids are happy though as I normally make from scratch!! Costco today. Oysters I still don’t like them as I always think they are going to jump out of the bowl. But that’s just me.

That is so cheap for shrimp! and they look delicious! My daughte rloves seafood, but it is so rediculoys expensive here nowadays so I hardly buy it anymore. Oysters is something that is farmed not gar from where I live, but mostly it's eaten raw straight out of the shell. I had an uncle who loved that, but I don't really like it. I prefer mine deep fried😅 I love the tea kettle at the end of your day; it's like he's having a sleeping hat😄 It's time to start my day now. it's 7 am and my daughter will wake up soon to get ready for school.

Hard to find a good quality of them where I live though. My son Jack came to see me Monday and took me out to eat. Enjoyed seeing him and talking with him. I really enjoyed this video of yours.
