Maybe I'm biased with my love of Emperors, which makes this one of my favorite scapes of yours. The hint of blackwater sets it off with them swimming around.

Thank you! There is a car park called diamond street car park which is a couple minute walk away. Plus if you take a photo of your parking ticket and spend I think £5 in store they take the parking charge off your bill!

Oh Matt, that is such exciting news. I am soooooo happy for you. When I have used only sand in the past, I get a lot of build up of waste on top, very fast. I found I was forever vacuuming it. Should I just leave it? I would like to do sand only again, but don't want that much work to keep it looking presentable.

I love this tank! Covering the glued areas with sand instead of plants is a great alternative!! I wonder if using sawdust from the same type of wood would work as well?

This scape is awesome!! Loving all the plants coming out from between the roots! Congrats on getting a new fridge too! Is it one of which the freezer never needs defrosting? I got one 2 years ago and it really works! Never any ice buildup! Love the South Koreans! ;)

@@FishShopMatt Yes it is. I had mine brought in, but doesn´t need to be built in. My place is a rental and comes with basic cabinets in the kitchen. But against the other wall, I´ve put an IVAR racking system with cabinets in the bottom and my local hardware store has a budget paint that happens to be the same colour as the TARDIS. So you can guess what I did! ;) ;)

All those bags of WIO bits 😍😍😍 I must admit I absolutely love WIO and their range of sands and stones in handy little bags as well as being able to buy the bigger chunks and boulders matching as separate items. Really liked what you did with the various bits of wood in bringing them together

Absolutely fabulous Matt! Congratulations on the invite, and what a lovely job you did! Yours is every bit as good as the others. Is the 140 a 140 litre tank? I really like your scape too. It is a wonderful contrast to the tanks which are almost overcrowded with plants and hardscape. I like the single tower of wood sweeping up from the bottom. It's just proper composition. It draws your eye to it, but leaves enough space to showcase the fish. I can only wish that I could have that good an eye for composition.

Thank you so much! Yeah it's around 140 litres the tank measures 77 x 45 x 40 cm. Just keep having fun with scaping and messing around with hardscape and you will find your style. Plus as long as you're having fun that's all that matters.

Oh Matt, that tank is marvelous! Now you have to do a tank for red whip tails, lol! They're stunning and I am so pleased they picked them. Maybe a Red fish, Blue fish tank. Dr. Seuss it up. A fantastical scape like in his books- those trees should be easy to do, and red and blue fish and red (definitely the whip tails in there) and blue cleanup crew... down to the snails and shrimp. Challenge... lol

I used to go to this store in the early 2000s when I used to have a fishtank. Owners have changed since then. I will go back one day when around North St.

You should definitely pay them a visit. I didn't know it with the old owners and have only known the store with Nick as the owner. They do a fantastic job!!!
