Well, when Elon first announced the Cybertruck, it was only $39k, which is cheaper than the Alaska's $45k. I expect the chances of the Fisker actually being sold at $45k about the same as the Cybertruck being $39k. Zero to none. I do like the rear seat fold down extended bed feature though which I had hoped the Cybertruck would have.

I welcome Fisker to the race! I want to see the first ones this year. If they have finished the Software and sell the Alaska until - lets say - december 2023 i will reconsider my choice of the Cybertruck.

The more competition the better. I hesitate to believe predictions for a few years from now. Like Toyota with their mythical solid state batteries that have been two years away since 2014, I don't believe anyone who declares pricing years from now. If they can make a better truck for less then we all win. Until then I won't be comparing a real Cybertruck to a theory.

Huge pressure? Nah. What matters isn't the price tag, it's the ratio between price and what buyers value in a product. Some will see $45.5k worth of something in FA's appearance and promising checklist, but Tesla will probably dominate in areas of utility, safety, durability, comfort, performance, and profit margin even if\when looks matter most to truck buyers. Have to see what the Cybertruck sticker says about pricing this fall.

Fisker launching Alaska at 45k will not impact Cyber Truck, it will disrupt Ford and Chevy. Perhaps Ford and Chevy could launch their own 45k offering in Ranger Lightening and Chevy AvalanchE respectively. Chevy's Silverado EV consumer spec will definitely be the most impacted. Because the folding midgate is a huge reason why i was considering the Blazer EV. I could get TWO Alaska for what I would pay for one Silverado EV.

That one also will never be built. Its the same as the 35K Tesla Model 3 - with one difference. Now you CAN buy a 35K Model 3. It just took a few years longer to realize. And it will be the same difference with FSD or wattamacallit. One day in the future it will exist. Later than everybody hoped for but nevertheless it will exit. There will never be a Fisker autonomous vehicle.

When are you content providers going to learn? TESLA has no competition and won't have any if ever for a long time. First of all new comers to the truck market are going to affect to current leaders in the business not fellow new comers. More importantly none of the current manufacturers are positioned like Tesla to produce EVs at scale, all you have to do is open your eyes and look at the numbers from 2016 to now.
