I disagree with the idea of not having a day dedicated to shoulders only. The impact of some specific shoulders movements hits differently. If you're working your upper back or chest, there is just slight impact on the shoulders. Shoulders day should be for shoulders, same as leg day.

The last "hack" is my default. I do pull day, push day, leg day. The mid delta get attention on pull day, abs and lower back on push day. Then, to change things to once in a while, I'll fund some isolation exercises to target areas that are lagging or need a little shock.

Pointing the pinky up only caused pronation in the forearms and has no significant impact on the shoulders. Rotating the humerus forward will however make a difference but can cause pinching in other areas
@tidefanyankee24283 жыл бұрын
Yep, according to a couple of ortho surgeons I know that pinching you mentioned is a shoulder impingement syndrome.
@thedietdecoder3 жыл бұрын
@@tidefanyankee2428 100% it's when the rotary rubs against the humerus. Charles Glass is fond on the pinky up but also he teaches better execution of this. I coach bodybuilding and rehab. Will be suprise how many clients suffer from this
@tidefanyankee24283 жыл бұрын
@@thedietdecoder Yep, just like with upright rows, it impinges on the shoulder. It's one of the worst exercises anyone can do, yet some trainers still advocate for it. I worked as an ortho tech when I got off of active duty (Navy Corpsman) and the ortho docs used to say that people doing exercises like that would be how they paid for their swimming pools and new Mercedes because many required surgery..
