Great episode! I’ve done a few of these. My first car @ 16 years old was a 💩 box integra that I drilled holes in the air box to hear the intake, anodized red autozone pedals that faded pink and a “red paint pen” accents lol🤦♂️ then i spent years on “brand loyal” avenue building 240sx drift cars for the drift sessions at our local track. Now I that i have a family and require four doors I bought a brand new STI that I meticulously detail and maintain and put high end parts on. But our track got shut down so it’s just a “functional” street car.

What about the Touge build? : Pretty much don't give AF because you're probably going to crash it anyway. Just modify based on what works with heavy bias towards handling but without sacrificing body control over bumps etc. Tyres: either dirt cheap trash or semi slicks on the road. Wheels: often close to to Oem in size or a bit wider to run wider rubber. Possibly from several different sets. Body: mismatched body panels. Stickers because the car is a joke. Feel free to add your own experiences of this type.

I have stuck with the brand because they have proven to be reliable (I have had several go past 300,000 miles and one made it to over 430,000) I am comfortable enough with them that my garage looks like a VW service stockroom and many cars have been worked on, maintained, and modded at my house.
