My 2013 WRX has been like a 7 year build and it’s become more me, than me. I literally don’t know what I’d do without it. The mod list is like 50 items long and I couldn’t be more proud of it. I drive it every day, spirited mountain drives at 1AM, full track days, drifting around in the snow, running errands, and going to work. 120k miles, 21psi, 3rd clutch, but still going strong. Keep that maint up Subie fam. It’s a little rough around the edges, but they’re not as unreliable as they say. Treat your Subie like a friend, not a car.

My advice owning a 2015 Scion FR-S for nearly 7 years. Avoid 13-14’s due to the valve recall. It’s basically mechanics not doing the recall warranty properly resulting engine failure. I’ve had mine with 48k (zero issues) and it’s a lot of fun and boosted too.

Twin scroll downpipe. all in all puts down a little over 290whp I mean honestly its a faster miata if it was AWD with double the power they handle really great in any weather and with the boxer engine being flat to lower center of gravity its great as a momentum car like a miata. These types of cars rarely see high HP like 7-900whp reliably unless you dump cash into them to make them strong people really get into these with the wrong mindset if you want boat loads of power go inline or v8 just do to reliability and ease of maintenance because regaurdless of the car. Its going to break with high HP some may last longer then others but they all break. Just do ya homework and know what you intend with whatever car you get..

Biggest downfall of the 5 speed is that it was a split case design so, best bet for more reliability is to grab some Moore blast plates to reduce the flex from the amount of torque pushing the case halves apart and sheering gears as it clamps itself back down after the torque dips
