we do this class at our YMCA 3 times a week. I have been doing this for a year. Virtually no arthritis pain anymore!

With movements that on land, you are on your whole foot, should you be on your whole foot as well in the water because I usually end up on the balls of my toes and then, after the water jogging they lead us through, my neck hurts. Any tips would be appreciated!

You don't have to. But if you exercise in shallow water frequently you might want to as they support your feet. There is still gravity and impact present in shallow water training.
