Hi PJ! I've been working out with you for years and I always love it. I've had a strange schedule lately and haven't been able to fit as many workouts in over the past few months. It means so much to me to have the monthly calendars nearby, knowing that I can jump back into it anytime. I worked out today and while I don't do it quite often enough, each time I do a "PJ workout", I feel encouraged, a little bit stronger, and more motivated to continue. I'm glad you are always there!

That was so good PJ, really enjoy the variety of exercises- appreciate the great effort you take in each work out. Must confess for the 21s my biceps were so tired I had to come down from a 4 kg to a puny 2 kg. I am just back from a hiking vacation, and suffering from jet lag, and have also done bike rides three days in a row (gotta get those *%!@ Garmin badges 😆) in the heat. The focus on arms and shoulders was exactly what I needed today!

you know I am 64 and have been relatively active with all sorts but I realise after all my bendies and stretchies and weights etc etc I do miss important moves and exercises. How do I know....well I am sore in places I missed... so thank you. love your sense of humour .

I loved this workout! And PJ--I love your explanations and lessons! I have learned so much about how to improve my form to fix bad form from the past (that has probably contributed to some of my joints revolting on me now). I feel like it has helped me become much better, stronger, and happier when exercising. I am willing to go that extra step and push a little further because of how you emphasize getting the correct form first--when to take moves slower to build muscles; when to go faster to build endurance and conditioning. Basically--I love it!

Great upper body arms workout! I have small hands, and I have trigger fingers, so yeah, these were a bit harder on my finger joints.

Thanks PJ. My arms are shaking/trembling/vibrating- & I’m off to go kayaking! YIKES 😬. Plus- the wind is super strong. My shaky arms will now have to battle waves. Oh well- my aim is to be stronger. So-- I really meant THANKS- because I CAN do this. 🇨🇦🎒❤️☕️🍷

Glad you love it! It depends on what workouts you are doing each week. For best results, be sure to have a day rest before strength training that body part again 😃

Dang PJ that was brutal (but effective)! I'm happy to say I was able to use the same weights as you and completed each set with good form (although that last rep for each one was HARD). Thanks for a killer upper body burn! Now I'm off the torture my core with your core met-con workout ;)

Loved this workout! Question for you - is it better to go up in weights and still do every other arm or stay at the same weight and do both arms at the same time? Just curious.

I would stay same weight and do both arms at same time (unless, of course, we are doing a unilateral workout) If you start to struggle with the new weight then you have the option to work single arm. A common rule of thumb in weight training is the 2 for 2 rule. This rule states that if you can complete 2 additional reps with perfect form on your final set of an exercise, it's time to increase the weight. This ensures that you consistently push yourself and progress in your strength training.

Yes this workout is osteoporosis friendly. Always avoid deep spinal flexion or twisting! 😃

I know there are variations of English vocabulary between Canada and USA; so is it a Canadian thing or a PJ thing to say “side lateral raise” and “front lateral raise” instead of just “lateral raise” and “ventral raise?” Either way, I love you PJ, you kick my butt (in a good way) and I need more PJ in my life!

🤣 never heard of a “front ventral” raise, just a “ventral raise” (in front of you) and a “lateral raise” (out to the side). Just like “physio” vs “physical” therapy, I wondered if this is just another health/exercise lingo difference between 🇨🇦& 🇺🇸
