Although I went through menopause 16 years ago, I could not have done this workout in my early 50’s!!! Lol. Day 167 here with your workouts and today I experienced how much progress I’ve made. First time using 10 lbs for heavier weight, 8 lbs for lighter, and 5 lbs for triceps work ( I’m pretty weak in that area) ! Thank you for the modification boxes, Lauren. So incredibly thoughtful. I did challenge myself with tiny impact after listening to you how that helps. A knee injury two years ago really set me back until I found your channel. God bless you, Lauren. Jeez Louise, I'm 19 and very fit, and I've roped both my mom and grandma into working out with me this summer. I usually do SeniorShape with Grandma, and more intermediate Pilates videos with Mom. Today, our TV isn't working, so I told my mom we could do a SeniorShape video on my laptop because it's easier to follow that without a TV than the Pilates videos where we're twisted in bizarre ways and craning to see the screen. She went, "You want me to do an old lady workout??" But I told her it's harder than it looks, and we have a running menopause joke in our house, so when I saw this, I knew she'd have to try it just to see what it was about. We are WHIPPED, Lauren. I was prepared for a workout, but I did not expect to be fuLLy humbled by your videos today, and now we are both covered in sweat, panting, and off to go shower. Normally your videos are a fun way to connect with my grandma and get her back in shape; not so challenging to me, but you win this time... You win.

Wow! This was intense but I needed it so much! Menopausal weight gain was the reason I started working out with you almost one year ago. I hike several times a week and ride my real bicycle once a week. I am incorporating HIIT on by stationary bike. I started with your videos several months ago when my doctor encouraged me to use weights for my osteopenia. I also added a weight vest when I hike. In the past I was very consistent with my exercise but not so for the last several months. I'm hoping to change that and I believe you videos will help me. You are an amazing instructor! I have been doing your full body weight workouts 2-3 days a week for the last year. In the last week I have helped spread nine 550 lb bags of bulk gravel for a back yard project my husband and I are doing. There is no way I could have done it without your workouts. I'm 56 yrs old and love the stamina that I have gained. I still get tired and sore but after some rest I can get up and do it again. I started with 5,8and 10 lb weights. I'm now up to 10, 12 and 15 lbs.This is a great workout. Would love 2-3 more like this so I can alternate and not get bored. Thank you!❤

Sweatiest workout yet ( in a good safe way); I don’t ascribe to more is necessarily better or todays attitude of “ no pain no gain” b/c thats the path ti injury. This workout challenged me both for strength and heart rate and was not easy, but with Laurens skillful sequencing, gentle reminders, and encouragement I listened to my body and finished. (Did alternate arm lifts, or reduced to 6 lbs. for lateral raises), aspiring to both arms w/ 8 lbs! Thank you Lauren for your kind and effective workouts!

I challenged myself with this one. I love your workouts and have mostly been doing the chair cardio and strength for the past month. I wanted to try a standing one to see if I could do it. I have balance issues from a brain injury and a lot of spinal woes but I made it through. I modified where I could but I did it with 5 lb and 2 lb weights. Late sixties and much enjoyed this! i did this workout albeit cautiously, starting with significantly lower weights for exercises above the head since my shoulders have had problems but did challenge myself for the lower body exercises with heavier weights than normal…..used a couple of the low impact options. Would love more of these so I can challenge myself with heavier weights and some light impact cardio over time

@@SeniorShapeFitness I haven't practiced your Anti-Aging workout yet and promise I'll do it tomorrow. But what I find missing in it is the cardio exercise. I'm 59 and have just been diagnosed of osteopenia and have to follow a hormone treatment due to breast cancer. According to my searching, strenght and cardio with high impact exercises are the best to improve my bones. And that's why I keep on repeating your menopause workout three times a week and do pilates and streching workouts the rest of the week. I sincerely appreciate your advice because I am eager to overcome my osteopenia.

Excellent workout! I’m active and will turn 65 in September, but I’m also on osteoporosis medication. The pace of this workout was great and really got my heart going! Thanks for creating this challenging workout!

This was a great workout to push oneself a little more. The beauty of it is that it also has options if you are not quite up to the suggested moves. I also like that it rotates cardio, arm strength and leg strength. It gives a complete workout feeling at the end. Thank you! ❤

Thanks so much for this workout, I've done a couple of your workouts in the past, I'm 49 turning 50 soon but love this one! I find HIIT very intimidating but this was so good, challenging but not crazy hard.

Wow this was FANTASTIC! I’m 43 and had a full hysterectomy at 28 yrs old unfortunately and immediately went into surgical menopause. I was in need of a workout that was challenging but still realistic for me and this was perfection🎉 All your videos are great but this one really got that heart rate going with those squat jumping jacks 😓 Thankful for this channel.

I totally LOVE this workout I'm in the stage of premenopause and it's horrible I have gained over 25 lb within 2 months. I am a health fanatic with switching up my workouts and eating properly but the weight will not budge. Is very depressing thank you for this workout.

This was great! Would love to see a menopause playlist that I can follow for a week. I’m doing something everyday but feel like I’m jumping around too much and not being efficient and seeing results. I am lifting heavier than I was 5 months ago but the meno tummy weight is not budging! I need to wear pants that zip again! 😅

Hi Lauren. I did this workout again. I was able to do the 1st half with 2 8lb weights, and the second half with 2 5lb weights. It was a challenge, but it honestly felt great. Please bring more workouts like this. I jogged during the star jumps and leg kickers. My mom had developed early Alzheimer's when she was 60. She lived with me. Even though she had a hard time moving around, she would try each day to walk on the treadmill even for 5 or 10 mins. She had horrible peripheral artery disease, due to years of smoking. She had told her cardio that I had been working out for as long as she could remember. That stuck with me. I always want to be able to move without any aide. Thank you. You have no idea how much your workouts mean to me. 🩷🩷💝🫶

Amazing workout! I am 73 and did all the modifications and used 7lb and 5 lb weights but managed to burn 208 calories. Love it.
