FITTING our IKEA utility room | S3 E14 | UK House Renovation

Fitting our IKEA utility. In today's episode we finally install our utility units which are technically for an IKEA kitchen but we are using them for our small utility room! We show you how easy it is to install these IKEA utility units and if you are thinking of having a go yourself hopefully this video will show you how to do it! We also only install the IKEA cabinets and not any appliances or the worktop as they haven't been delivered yet!

Yeah it makes it so easy to get the room how you want it without having to get it all ‘professionally’ planned! Even though some people will want to still do that, but not us lol!!

Utility space is looking great! You’ve done an awesome job with the house too. Completely understand the point you were making on the handles, 23 handles later in our kitchen and I still take my time to measure and triple check before drilling! Out of interest, do you know if other ikea wall hanging units (non kitchen ones) use that same system? Looks ideal and so much simpler.

Haha ikea does make it easy for most people to attempt it themselves! The easy ensemble units and rail system makes it rather straight forward!

Why is a rail needed for lower cabinets if they stand on feet?

To make sure they don’t fall over! Especially if you have heavy draws, when you pull them out the cupboard would be too ‘front heavy’ and topple over! Securing cupboards to the wall and/or using the rail just makes everything secure and safe

You popped up on my feed today . I admire your work ethic and grafting . I just dislike your design and what you’ve done . Why not build or do a more modern house . You’ve ripped out every bit of the cottage that makes it special . Sorry to be negative in view of your enthusiasm and energy but I seldom watch something and hate it all . It’s high tech but tasteless . I’m not saying modern in old can’t work , but generally works better in a larger house setting not small cottage, and better choice of interior design .
