Yes that's the idea Elodie. Getting people to think of anything they do as a business will change their mindset and get them to work differently.

Thank you so much Cel for pouring all of your amazing insights and advise. I have been truly moved by your words and candid lifestyle since I first heard about you from the Yoga Crush podcast run by Suzanne Moscovitch!! I'm pretty young and currently scrambling in the middle of university which makes it extremely difficult to stick to a consistent and healthy lifestyle like yours (which I resonate highly with-from diet especially :)) but the one thing that I've learned that is MOST important is more about living a CONSCIOUS lifestyle. I found the more I allowed my conscious self dictate my lifestyle choices then the more I was able to adapt to any situation when it comes to eating the right thing, when to go to bed before a midterm and finding the time to be active, etc. I truly aspire to become a yoga teacher after I'm done with my studies but I have struggled with finding my community (since school can sometimes hinder that for you). However, I recently just got my dream position (front desk as work-trade) at my favorite yoga studio, which I truly hope will bring me closer to finding my community and essentially put my foot into the door so I can start my journey of becoming a yoga teacher. Always love your content Cel, keep radiating! xoxo

I think you're so great Celest! You have a lovely energy and definitely add value. I don't normally follow too many people but keeping finding myself back to your videos and love them! It seems you are doing pretty well for yourself and have done many cool things even with 'a small following'. I'm starting out myself as a yoga teacher 1 year and it's been a ride. Any tips on how to get over self-consciousness to posting youtube videos and getting invited to teach workshop around the world? Much appreciated!

Hi there Celest! thank you so much for sharing these 5 points, it´s great and so helpful. I had the great opportunity to take clases with you for a little while in triyoga in London and it was fantastic, you are very inspiring and I indentify myself with you as you have no idea. I live in Mexico now at the Riviera Maya... and Iam fairly new as teacher (only 2 years) but as you truly said it is important to continously look for what inspires you, as both, student and as a teacher so I love looking at your lovely practice, I was also subscribed for a year to yoga download, so I enjoyed some "private clases" from you. Well I just wanted to let you know, and also ask you if your book is available as Ebook as I think it will be almost imposible to get a hard copy here in Mexico. Have a wonderful day, week, month, year :)

Preach! 🙏 haha, honestly Celeste, you talk so much sense. It's hard as a yoga teacher to market yourself because it goes against tradition, BUT times have to move on right? Also, I love Shona Vertue too!! Do you follow her Snapchat? She's amazing, from random rants about foam rolling to advice on Nutrition, she adds buckets of value 👍 I'm in India right now studying with my teacher, but when I get home I will 100% check out your book and swing by a class to say hi! 💕 Thanks for sharing as always xxx

Ellie thanks for taking the time to watch and then write to me. It honestly makes such a huge difference when people like you share their positive vibes with me. Isn't Shona a babe? I am massively inspired by that chick. Good luck with the training and I can't wait to meet you in person one day xx

it's concerning that none of your tips have to do with engaging with your students, just ways to be a better known yoga teacher

You seem really preoccupied with defending yourself because you're not famous. But what is fame, really? Is fame really important to those of us who are seeking to heal the world, one yoga class at a time? No.

Hello sweetie! What would your advice be for new yoga teachers that don't really enjoy social media? I'm struggling with it. I hate the burden of taking good pictures for instagram, and share it everywhere. Im just not good at it. :( On the other hand, I feel like if I won't do it my new career may suffer from it... :/
@AlbaYogaAcademy8 жыл бұрын
Well if it's any consolation in the beginning I also didn't enjoy it. Not one bit! But I realised that every job has things about it that you will not enjoy. If you want to impress your boss so that she gives you a promotion you might work late, take on extra work or do the jobs nobody else will do, because you know your hard work will be rewarded. Thats what I always thought of when I did my social media :)

i wanna start teaching yoga but i'm afraid because in my country Greece the income a yoga teacher make is really low and i mean really low between 450 to 500 euro per month and everyone tells me that i'm not gonna make it and it will be better as an accountant,because thats what i've studied, but being an accountant was never what i wanted to do...and i don't know what to do now
@AlbaYogaAcademy8 жыл бұрын
Well Anna Maria, why don't you do both! There is no perfect scenario out there, so use your amazing skills to earn some money and then teach as your passion. Maybe as things change in the world you will see that things can shift and then perhaps you can make a switch. Do teaching but make sure it is sustainable :) xx

If u really wanna know the real yoga or sanskrit word yogam u could get from south india. Lord shiva taught yoga to the 7 sadhus or riskshis and her wife parvathi but diz spreads the world everywhere But some ppl hoide the secreats and they built framed their own invention added into it so the real essence is missed by re writting the history of yoga. The real practice of yoga couldn't get anywhere in the world except south india one more thing should remember the real yoga doesn't cost money its focus eligibility of spiritual awareness.

The pseudo Yogis that are not even devotes or feel devotion for Bhagavan , the millenials that don´t accept any guidance due lack of understanding and a ego that cant have any guidance, I have been a Shiv Bhakta all my life and this ÿoga teacher certificates ¨are the biggest scam ever, you cant buy knowledge, you have to be a Devote to begin a Spirtitual path, hatha yoga is not even mentioned as a way to God, this is the game of the satanic forces of misguiding one after the other from the original path, none of you have any knowledge or devotion. Alejandro Klein you sound like a hater that tries to bring himself up by bringing others down, same as a bible basher, should we call you a Veda basher?
@ATRUSTEDSERVANT6 жыл бұрын
Alejandro Klein Your post unfortunately reads a bit angry, fear based and extremely judgemental. Are these not all complete opposites of Buddhism? I have a fine appreciation for the root and purity of where this practice comes from, as it sounds like you may too, as many of us do, however...I have to try and stay right sized to the best of my abilities in all areas of my life which includes how, when and why I say something.
