it didn't work for me, i tried everything. however it was able to open the list of it where it shows start/stop recording. but it wasn't work or whenever i press on it it doesn't do anything(recording). so i tried to reset the record app thing by a guy from KZbin and still didn't work. for now it's not opening when i press window+G as last time. Your Edit Group Policy suggestion at 2:09 of your video fixed it for me - for some unknown reason Recording was disabled there on my laptop and after much searching your video was the only place where I found that suggested, so kudos to you and much appreciated! Cheers

This may work but I cant say, Ive tried everything to fix my recording issue and yet it still wont record. I have yet to find a fix for it, in the mean time I will have to use OBS but OBS lags all my games.

Hello! I tried to type "gpedit" but when I opened the policy, it told me I couldn't open it because it wasn't on my laptop or I just wasn't able to access it. Why is that? Is there a way I can change it? In my captures, my friends voices are in the capture but not mine. Why is that? Edit: I'm not sure if this will matter but my laptop has two jacks (a headphone and seperate microphone jack) I bought an adapter so I could use my headset with a mic, but that wouldn't affect anything, right?

Hi pal a little question when I activate that win+G and record my screen, going on you tube videos to record them they are playing and go at normal speed, but when I checked the recorded video (saved on my Pc) the “fps / video speed” seem lightly slow despite the original recording. it is a problem you’ve encountered somehow? I have no idea why, but when I tried recording a clip in Skyrim, it broke the Xbox gamebar app and it could not be stopped after starting and recorded a huge clip with a broken file that would not play, then it restarted the recording again. Resetting it fixed the problem. Amazing and helpful video! 🙏🙏

@Eugene Danquah ok well its a bit confusing and it still lags a bit so when you go to task manager and find xbox game bar what I did was open file location and right click game bar go to property and compatibility and press disable fullscreen optimisation and press fix error or somthing then also make sure game mode is on in settings and recording the screen before actually starting the recording is off its still a bit laggy but it made it better for me atleast hope this helps

I have a problem that is kinda rare I think... I used to be able to open the xbox overlay in csgo meanwhile the game was in full screen, being able to change volume, record stuff, etc. Now with cs2 the xbox game bar doesn't open (works, but I can't access the overlay with the volume settings, screen recording. etc.) any idea how to fix this?
