Hey Tim, another fantastic interview, thank you, fix yourself before you come, even though in my case, someone not of the diaspora and visiting for the first time, is very appropriate, and goes with "know your why". The fastest way to join a community is join a church. You don't have to believe in their religion but if you can put with the church shenanigans you can start creating your network from there.Ghanaians are highly collectivist in nature. Your community start from the mosque, church, school and work. They rarely form any community outside of these places. Its changing small small with people creating communities online and meeting for fun tours or activities.

Good idea. I have been living in Ghana now for 10 years and I am so lonely. I live on the Akuapem Ridge and find it so hard to make friends. I do have family in Accra but we very rarely meet up
@joylm91083 жыл бұрын
@@amorkor4 just join a church. They will usually introduce new members to the congregation every week. You can join activities in the church. Just try and put up with their shenanigans even if you don’t believe in the whole Jesus nonsense. That’s how most Ghanaians socialise. Many are just church goers and still do all manner of things that contradict their doctrines. Keep your pockets safe and don’t let the pastors know you have money else ???? Lol

'Fix Yourself Before You Come' Yourself in the sentence refers to the human being. Thus the idea of fix yourself before you come doesn't reflect human. You fix thing. Not human. We have the moral obligation to be very careful when it comes to human being. Therefore here instead of 'fix yourself before you come', it can be we offer advice that can help you to better. prepare your coming

@clementgavi72903 жыл бұрын
@@exquisitecaribbeanqueen7198 Even if it is about human mindset, we fix things not human beings. Human being as a life is sacred. In the details we must print it. When we talk about human beings we should think calling our fellow human beings, aliens or telling them to fix themselves. I don't take it personal but I am trying to imagine the mind of others who can hear it.

Ghana embraces its indigenous-mostly born there, but also those whose family already/still reside there. Otherwise, attaining land ownership and anything else is BEYOND a challenge. CONGRATULATIONS on returning to your homeland and pouring into your people, even though your target audience is the pocket of diasporans ...but that's the goal of everyone one there🤷🏾♀️ #trueGaunaian #goghana #return2ghanaINDIGENOUS!!!
@dadoboye15363 жыл бұрын
Obtaining land is not beyond a challenge. You can get land “dirt” cheap if you move outside Greater Accra region. Lease hold doesn’t mean you will lose your land that you built on. It just means your descendants have to renew after 50 or 99 years for a small fee set by the government. Currently there’s no property tax but the fee to renew land pales in comparison with annual property tax in the US or anywhere in the west.
@Yiriyah3 жыл бұрын
@@dadoboye1536 many have tried to buy land and were cheated out of it, robbed as soon as they built on it...its always "something". People are returning to the USA and tattling their experiences. Whatevers going on and for whatever reasons, it benefits the inhabitants and indigenous with ties to THAT land.
@amorkor43 жыл бұрын
@@Yiriyah I think it depends on the person. I am half Ghanaian and have been living here for 10 years now. I bought my first land in the mountains in 1988. It is 99 years lease land. I built and have never had a problem on my land. But I do think that it is easy to get ripped off if you have no ties with Ghana

@@dadoboye1536 Thanks for this info. My land is 99 years leased land, as its stool land. I always wonder how it'll work when my 99 years is up. I thought the chief could set any amount to renew the lease. I didn't realise it is set by the Gov'ment

Burned out.. Beaten...robed...lied to and lied on and lied about.. Hung.. Fed to aligators.. Cut up...whiped and much more we will not take mistreatment from Africa too!
