The tutorial was perfect to install a screen I got from Amazon but I’m also having the webcam issue, read online that maybe Apple pairs the webcam to the logic board so it is basically unusable

did you have any issues with BIOS? a shop just told me they couldn't fix it and in had to go to apple

How about the True tone after that screen replacement ? ON or OFF ?

From the one Amazon link: "The motherboard of this model will recognize the serial number of the original camera module. If the original screen is replaced, the camera module will lose the True Tone function." I actually repair these LCDs all the time, but I replace the LCD Panel, not the whole Assembly, and I have never had an issue with losing True Tone functionality.

I replaced the screen but now the laptop seems like it's dead. I rechechecked all the connections and they look good. Is there anything that you'd suggest trying? I've tried the SMC and PRAM but still getting nothing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

From my personal research that is cause it’s not Retina display, I thought about getting one from Amazon for £180 but the reviews were not good the screen quality and colours won’t be good
